I recently had the honor of speaking at the Grand Rapids NAACP Freedom Fund, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event.

Opportunities like this remind me why I am so passionate about youth advocacy, civic engagement, and creating spaces where voices can be heard, perspectives can be shared, and communities can come together to make a difference.

A special thank you to the Grand Rapids NAACP for the invitation and for creating a space for these important conversations. I also want to thank my fellow panelists for sharing the stage with me, bringing their perspectives to the discussion, and making the experience so meaningful. It was a privilege to learn from and engage alongside each of you.

I am grateful for opportunities like this that allow me to continue using my voice and platform to advocate for others, engage with my community, and contribute to conversations that matter.

I look forward to continuing this work and building connections with others who are committed to making a positive impact.

I’m honored to have played a meaningful role in such a historic weekend in the great city of Grand Rapids as the NAACP branch celebrated 60 years of fighting injustice, advancing civil rights, and uplifting our communities.

From helping inspire this year’s theme to moderating the keynote discussion and serving as the dedicated spoken-word artist, I’m grateful to have contributed to such a powerful milestone. I also had the honor of sharing the stage with four incredible individuals whose futures are just as bright as their impact.

Being part of this weekend reminded me why this organization and its mission mean so much to me. I’m proud to continue contributing to the work and legacy of the NAACP as we look ahead to another 60 years of progress, empowerment, and continuing the fight. ✊🏾❤️ #NAACP #legacy #impact

🛫 The last few months have been an incredible reminder of the power of purpose driven work.

At Scales Consulting, we've had the privilege of partnering with organizations, institutions, businesses, and community leaders to create meaningful impact across Michigan and beyond.

Over the past several months, we've been:

🏛️ Advocating and lobbying alongside legislators and policymakers to advance equitable, forward thinking public policy.

🎤 Facilitating leadership development and AI workshops that equip leaders, organizations, and communities with practical tools to lead, innovate, and thrive responsibly.

🌎 Organizing and speaking at press conferences focused on environmental justice, climate resilience, and community health.

🫱🏿‍🫲🏾 Building authentic partnerships across sectors to strengthen communities, increase capacity, and drive lasting impact.

🎓 Attending conferences, convenings, and leadership gatherings to continue learning, collaborating, and bringing new ideas back to the communities we serve.

Every meeting, workshop, strategy session, and conversation reinforces a simple belief: meaningful change happens when leadership, innovation, and community come together.

🙏🏾 Thank you to every client, partner, collaborator, and community member who has trusted us to walk alongside you. We are grateful for every opportunity to serve and excited for what lies ahead.

The Marathon continues 🏁. Let's continueto build sustainable impactful initiatives and finish 2026 strong!💪🏿
