2 years with Gideon. 🤍

What a beautiful life he has lived already. From a mere 4 pounds to an absolute tank! From our tiny little NICU baby to this strong, joyful, hilarious, adventurous boy who has filled every corner of our lives with so much love.

There is something especially sacred about celebrating Gideon because we know he is our last baby. His birth nearly cost me my life, and in so many ways, his beginning marked the ending of a chapter of our family that I thought I would get to close differently.

That makes these years with him feel even more precious. Every milestone carries a little extra weight. Every cuddle lasts a little longer. Every first is also one of our family’s lasts. There is grief woven into that, but there is also an overwhelming amount of gratitude.

Two years of those ocean eyes, that sweet smile, belly laughs, cuddles, mischief, and a personality that just keeps getting bigger. Two years of looking at him and being reminded again and again just how fragile, miraculous, and beautiful life really is.

From barely 4 pounds to TWO YEARS OLD. 🥹 From the tiniest baby to an absolute tank.

Gideon Theodore, you are deeply loved. You are treasured. You are the beautiful final chapter of our baby years, and what a gift it is that God chose you to be the one who closes them.

What a beautiful life you have had, sweet boy. And what a beautiful life you have given us.

Happy 2nd birthday, Gideon Theodore. 🤍 We will spend the rest of our lives thanking God that we both made it home.

There’s a certain way we do things at DDC. 🤍

It’s in the way we celebrate the little wins, encourage the shy dancers, cheer for one another, and create a space where every dancer feels seen.

It’s in the friendships made in the lobby, the giggles before class, the nerves before a performance, the proud moments on stage, and the teachers who pour into their dancers far beyond the choreography.

It’s in beautiful ballet technique and strong training, but also in kindness, confidence, character, modesty, and learning to love the person you are becoming.

At Devotions Dance Company, we believe dance is about so much more than what happens on the stage.

This is a glimpse into the DDC way.
Committed to character. Devoted to excellence. 🤍

Come dance with us. ✨

My little sister, my best friend. Happy Birthday!

The day you were born was one of the greatest days of my life. When I held you, I felt instantly that you were MY baby! Being seven years older meant I got the incredible privilege of watching you grow from the very beginning. I taught you how to walk, how to put your hair in a ballet bun, how to do your makeup, how to play the piano, how to sing, and through every season, I have the joy of cheering you on.

You have always been so much more than my little sister. You are one of the brightest lights in my life. Watching the amazing woman you’ve become has been one of my greatest gifts, and I couldn’t be more proud of you.

I love you more than words can say. No matter how old we get, you’ll always be my baby sister and one of my greatest blessings. 🤍

Year TWO at @devotionsdancecompany. The amount of growth Abby has had is a beauty to witness. We love that she is challenged by Ms. Rebecca, always encouraged by Tiffany, always lifted up by Julianna (figuratively and literally), and of course she wouldn’t even be able to do dance if it wasn’t for Mrs. Michaela. What an amazing show!

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who gave us her whole heart!

Mom, thank you for the love, sacrifice, faith, and countless memories you created for our family. Now that I’m a mom myself, I see even more clearly how much you poured into us every single day.

Thank you for teaching us to love God, love family, and cherish the little things. So much of who I am is because of you.

I love you endlessly. 🤍

11 months of Gideon 🍼💙
Our seventh baby—our sweet caboose—is officially in his last month of babyhood. He’s discovering new foods like a champ, turning diaper changes into full-on wrestling matches (tiny crocodile style 🐊), and lighting up our home with his big, joyful personality.

We love him more than words can say. Watching him grow is a gift we don’t take for granted… but wow, it’s going by so fast. One more month until toddlerhood—our hearts are full and holding on tight. 💙 #11Months #BabyGideon #SeventhBabyLove #AlmostOne #LittleCrocodile #TimePleaseSlowDown

When Michaela reached out and let me know where her cake was coming from - it took two seconds to reach out to @blondiecakes_ocala and we quickly confirmed the shade of blue wanted. Something so minor can get overlooked and throw an entire color scheme off for a party. When you trust a vendor with something as special as your birthday, it should be ones that go that extra mile 💙🫶🏼
