Cohort 1: Intro to SDE starts Sunday, January 18. Registration closes Friday night. We would love to see you there!

In this cohort, we will reflect on and discuss the many ways that self-directed lifestyles can look and why it’s a liberatory practice that the world needs right now!

Whether you’re new to SDE or you’re a seasoned practitioner wanting to ground yourself in key values, come join us while we turn our dreams of a better future into the reality of this present moment.

The future is now. Let’s go!

The biggest gift we could think of this year is the gift of youth liberation. We believe this will happen as adults engage in the process of continued learning and deschooling in order to further the honoring of youth rights in society. You can support this mission by gifting yourself the ASDE Compendium or gifting financially directly to us so that another may have access to this gift.

The Alliance for Self-Directed Education (ASDE) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to increasing accessibility and awareness of Self-Directed Education as a way of living and learning, and connecting the communities and voices of the movement.

We envision a world where young people’s human rights are respected and upheld, which includes the freedom to direct their lives and education; and where Self-Directed Education (SDE) is widely embraced, accepted, and available to all families regardless of their status, race, or income.

The ASDE Compendium is a flexible resource that can take many shapes. Currently it’s available as a self-paced course or a guided group course cohort. It’s comprised of personal stories and lived experiences of young people and families practicing SDE all around the world. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re years in, the ASDE Compendium is sure to bring up meaningful moments of reflection and intention to grow in your practice.
