Last month I got to explore Paris, Champagne, and Cognac with some of my fellow CAPs! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I knew we would learn more about cognac, but I am also coming home with a deeper understanding of hospitality and a renewed curiosity in the world around me.

The hospitality we were shown at every stop- including Courvoisier, Grand Marnier, Lallier, and the Vicard Cooperage- was unmatched! I am so grateful to @campariannesoda @baronshonstein @djcordonrouge @alexbsmith1 @campariacademy_us @cocktailapprenticeprogram for thoughtfully curating this experience for us.

Thank you also to @audrey.carpe, Nicolas Leroy, and @pierretualpro for the beautiful photos to remember the experience by!

Supah kewl! 🥃🍇🇫🇷

If you know the Providence cocktail scene, then you surely know Michael Silva. His contributions via @baspvd @thedeanbar and the eddy are just small tokens of the dedication and love for his craft.

Michael joined us at the eddy just before I (Britt) left for maternity leave in early 2025 to fill in the gaps I’d leave in the schedule. By the time I returned, he’d made himself such a fixture that Jen and I made sure we secured a permanent spot for him by rejiggering the entire schedule to accommodate him. Hands down, the best decision we’d made in a while.

If you know Michael, you know his laughter. It’s roaring, boisterous, and fills the room. So when he let us all know that he’d eventually be leaving Providence to fulfill familial obligations on the West Coast, the first thing we thought about was how barren the place would feel without his laughter.

As we approach his final few shifts, do your best to keep this king cackling. It has been an honor and a privilege to watch Michael grow, thrive, and continue to rack up successes over the last two years. From fatherhood to @cocktailapprenticeprogram to @camp_runamok and all of the representation at conferences and gatherings in between, this man has left a permanent mark on the Rhode Island bar industry.

Needless to say, we’ll miss him like hell.

Please join us in wishing this king ✨Bon Voyage✨ at our French send-off extravaganza, sponsored by @ferrandcognac @citadellegin @planterayrum this Friday, kicking off PVD Fest with a claquer!

Thank you for everything, @michaelknows_ — gonna miss turning on Spotify only to discover it’s been left tuned to Sabrina Carpenter or John Mayer at full-blast volume. Our algorithm will never be the fuckin’ same without you, bro.

20 Kings.

One table.

Brotherhood is powerful.
Community is powerful.
And when we start gathering with intention? That’s when things move.

This was special.

And if you missed this one…

Don’t worry. The next one is coming soon.

There aren’t enough words to describe what this program and these people mean to me. This year filled my soul with more love, support, and growth than I could have imagined. If you ever thought about applying to be a CAP, this is your sign! Until next year friends!

Still smiling, still processing, and still wishing I could do it all over again ❤️

Getting to join the CAP program as a Red Coat was an absolute dream and one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. There is something so special about being surrounded by people who are endlessly passionate, wildly talented, and genuinely invested in lifting one another up.

This week was packed with hugs that warmed me from head to toe, conversations that sparked new ideas, spontaneous dance parties, so many laughs, and friendships (both old and new) that I’ll treasure for years to come. My cup is filled in so many ways!!

I went into this week with a hefty dose of imposter syndrome and I left feeling refreshed and like my sense of hospitality has been renewed. Tales reminded me that hospitality is about so much more than what’s in the glass. It’s about people. It’s about generosity, curiosity, mentorship, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome. I’m so grateful to have played even a small part in making that magic happen.

To squad India - you guys are absolutely amazing. I knew every morning that whatever the day threw at us we could figure out together. You guys became my rocks quickly and I’ll be forever grateful for everything we got to do together!

Platoon 2 - WOW!!! To look around the room during our kitchen day for spirited and see every single person locked in and moving as a unit was insane. We started bonding early with irrational fears and now I feel like I have a whole platoon of new best friends 💕

To every person I laughed with, learned from, hugged, danced beside, or shared a cocktail with, thank you again for making this week unforgettable 🥂❤️✨
