Dog of the Day: Meet Glo- an absolute gem of a dog. She’s about 3 years old & has the most gentle, sweetest soul. Glo came in with her peppy sister Charley, and can be adopted with her or solo. Being with another dog seems to help her come out of her shell, as she is a shy girlie. She would do best in a calm environment with someone who will give her the time she needs to acclimate. Please come out & meet this beauty at New Hanover Animal Services. 💎

All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on routine vaccinations, dewormed & given flea prevention. They are not tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $60 + $10 registration for NH County residents.

Adoption hours are Monday-Friday 11:00-3:30 & Saturday 8:00-11:30. If you have kids or other dogs at home, meet & greets are required.

Update: Pascal was rescued by @pittfriends! He’s still looking for his forever family.

Pascal has been waiting for 8 months now for his people and I’m honestly a bit perplexed as to why.

I got to spend the day with him for Doggy Day Out a few months ago and he’s SUCH a good dog. Here are a few highlights:

He’s only two years old and on the smaller side- just 40 lbs!

He walks well on a leash, will jog if you want but is also happy to walk alongside you.

He LOVES rolling around in the grass.

He takes treats gently, knows sit.

Peed a lot while we were outside, but did not try to do so while inside so he’s likely house trained. He kicks his back legs after he pees, which is the sign of a confident boy!

He was nervous getting into the car but ok once driving. He liked riding shotgun.

He was great around 3 kids under 10- didn’t show much interest in them overall. Wasn’t deterred by their bike, skooter or toys.

He is a love bug- loved climbing all over me and giving me kisses (totally ok with me!).

He’s great with other dogs— he’s tested well with several females, can be dominant with males. The shelter can help with intros!

He’s stunning! Have you ever seen such gorgeous eyes?!

If you know someone looking for a new best friend, please consider Pascal.

He’s available for adoption at Pitt County Animal Shelter in Greenville, NC
