Last, but certainly not least, we are thrilled to welcome Michelle Ang to the 2026 Squamish Mural Walk Festival!

Michelle is an illustrator and muralist known for her bold use of colour, expressive linework, and deep connection to the outdoors, something that shines through in every piece she creates.

An avid climber and outdoor enthusiast, she draws inspiration from the landscapes surrounding Squamish, bringing our mountains, forests, and sense of adventure to life through her vibrant work.

Her art can be found throughout the Sea to Sky, including a mural for Carbon Engineering along the Estuary Trail, a piece for Climb On’s Vancouver store, and the 2022 Squamish Loggers Day Festival beer label for Backcountry Brewery.

Join us this Friday to Sunday in Downtown Squamish to watch Michelle, and 10 other incredible muralists transform our community in real time.

It really took a village to get here. I am so thankful for @genuinelyempatterns @michelledesigncompany and @emmarubinsonofficial 🫶🏻 And I am forever grateful for my wonderful testers. You ca see some of their beautiful makes here!

I’ll post more about the process soon but for now, I am just so happy that the pattern is finally ready. I hope you love making this too as much as I loved designing it. Happy sewing! 🫶🏻

One of the things that makes Genuine Climbing so amazing is the partners and collaborators that share our passion and vision.

I wanted some new fun stickers for @genuineclimbing (cause you can never have enough fun stickers) and when I came accross @michyllica’s designs, I knew she was the one.

She created something beautiful that really makes us all feel so speical. And thats EXACTLY what the vibe is at Genuine Climbing. Making women feel special, supported and seen.

What a beautiful summer! Sent a few pebbles, but the real highlights were playing banagrams (Magic for Rob), eating sushi, Oats the dog and just spending time with our pals ❤️. We are so filled with gratitude to have such kind, thoughtful and funny friends!

Fun fact: I climbed up Medalta to photograph Katrina, but 6 years ago it was the other way around where I climbed up Katrina to photograph Medalta on a humid day where Michelle (@michyllica ), Spencer (@saarbuckle ) and I slimed our way up. This time the pockets were less slimy 😪
