I love mixing. I love mastering. I love plugins.
However, 99.99% of what we’re fed is either
1. Another tutorial on WHAT YOU MUST DO.
2. Another plugin telling you how it’s going to CHANGE your world.

… what about when something is just great?

Does everything need to be hammered home with the shiniest new tool and plugin?

Something I’m so conscious of with Panorama Audio Labs is not overselling or overpromising; I believe in the tools I use because I use them every day. But that doesn’t mean I use them on EVERY SINGLE channel on every single project.

Why?

Because there’s nuance and art to the craft of making music, and often it’s the things we don’t do that make the most impact on a record.

Shining the light on new and exciting artist, each release will feature a single original track and in some cases an exclusive remix.

KHASS02 sees the return of Ana Lilia to the Khazad fold.

Its been three years since Ana’s last release on Khazad but she returns to pick up where she left off with an expertly crafted track in the shape of Invocada.

Straddling the realm between dark minimalism and industrial maximalism, the track is filled with shadowy textures, enthralling drums, ethereal sound design and sci-fi like atmospheres that instantly hook the listener in.

Black Noir and Mickey Nox’s Factory 19 are joining forces to create something we believe producers genuinely need.
A place to learn, A place to ask honest questions.
A place to meet other artists, exchange ideas, build relationships and move forward together.
Too often, producers make music alone, release it into the world, play a gig—and then disconnect from the very community that could help them grow. We want to change that.
The Producer Accelerator Workshop combines practical music production education with networking, open conversation and honest career guidance.
Across the evening, we’ll explore arrangement, structure, finishing music, mixing awareness and the creative decisions that can take a track from an unfinished idea to a confident final result.
We’ll also discuss navigating releases, labels, networking and how to create genuine momentum beyond the studio.
This is about more than making better music.
It’s about building confident producers, stronger networks and real careers through community and education.

September 15th. Level 41 unlocked.

Apparently, 41 years isn’t that long for a human being.
Still, I’ve somehow managed to spend around 25 of them making, breaking, overthinking, deleting, rebuilding and occasionally even finishing music.

There have been plenty of disappointments, fortunately even more good moments, a few times when I gave up, and an impressive number of times when I apparently forgot that I gave up and started again.

The latest restart became MechaLAB.

I have absolutely no idea where this project is going.
But I know where it is right now — and for the first time, it’s in no fucking hurry to get anywhere.

So, for my 41st birthday, instead of receiving presents, I’m giving one away:
