A More Equitable Electrified World Helps Deliver Vaccines to the World’s Most Vulnerable People This is a critical part of building a world where life-saving vaccines can reach every child, especially those in remote, underserved, and conflict-affected communities. I’m so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with so many Global Citizens like The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations Amina J. Mohammed @aminajmohammed The former Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven @stefanlofven The Premier of Western Australia Roger Cook @rogercookmla Canadian Actress and Model Sabrina Elba @sabrinaelba As well as so many other global leaders, community leaders, advocates, policy makers, and health care professionals who are all working together raising their voices and taking action for a more equitable electrified world. @micksheldrick @dominicmishio @timmiddlemiss @joandellavallehairstylist @glblctzn @globalpolioeradication @gatesfoundation @unicefendpolio @rotaryinternational @unitednations @unfoundation @gavialliance

What does having electrified communities and vaccine delivery have to do with each other… Everything! 🌍⚡ ENERGY EQUITY IS HEALTH EQUITY. No child’s chance of survival should depend on where they are born. Reliable, sustainable electricity helps keep vaccines safe, strengthen healthcare systems, and bring life-saving protection to the world’s most vulnerable communities. As a polio survivor and Global End Polio Advocate, I believe ending polio means reaching every child, everywhere. Energy access can help bridge the last mile between life-saving vaccines and the children who need them most. 💉 Electrify communities. Protect children. End polio. Together, we can build a world where no child is left behind. Global Citizen Now Perth is shining the spotlight on energy equity and Global Citizens are calling on leaders at every level to develop partnerships, and fund new initiatives that electrifies communities so that no child is left behind! #endpolio #healthequity #energyaccess #globalcitizen #perth @aminajmohammed @micksheldrick @glblctzn @globalpolioeradication @gatesfoundation @unitednations

15 years later, I’m so excited to be travelling back to Perth, Australia tomorrow where I will have the honour of sharing the #endpolio message at the #GlobalCitizen Now event. The events will welcome an extraordinary group of world leaders, ministers, business leaders, investors, First Nations leaders, scientists, athletes and artists from across the world.🌎 😊 The program spans everything from energy security in a fractured world and the future of clean industry to investment, Indigenous-led enterprise, ocean restoration, climate resilience and the role of culture and sport in strengthening communities. And on 20 October, the program will close with Global Citizen Nights: Perth, featuring The Teskey Brothers, South Summit and Ruby Rodgers. A huge thank you to the Global Citizen team for all their hard work @glblctzn @micksheldrick @juliagillard @simon.moss.33 @drannealy @hughcevans https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/now/perth/program/

After 15 years, Global Citizen is back in Perth! What an honour to attend the first Global Citizen NOW: Perth x Bloom Design Challenge Launch hosted at Bloom! A special thank you to Lisa Longman, Director of Bloom and Head of Impact at AITAI, for the opening remarks, and to James Salazar, Vice President of Impact, Accountability & Special Policy Projects at Global Citizen, for sharing such an inspiring perspective. Three reminders that stayed with me: You don’t need all the answers — one idea can open up a world of possibilities. You need the right people to help bring your ideas to life. Real change happens when we come together to make opportunities possible. This platform is deeply personal to me. Having grown up in Zambia and experienced poverty, I know firsthand why education, opportunity and practical life skills matter. Through my work in Bali, I’m passionate about helping young women build skills and create brighter futures. Ending poverty through education and opportunity is a cause close to my heart. This is why Global Citizen means so much to me and the work they do in making this world a better place. As we all responsible for playing our part! Global Citizen NOW: Perth takes place 18–20 October. There is still time to register through @glblctzn and be part of the conversation! Thank you, @micksheldrick , for your encouragement and support to invite more people to join us and for all the work you all do at Global citizen this world is a little better because of people like you all! Because sometimes, one idea, one opportunity and the right people can change everything. And thank you to my dear sister @cemacareer for the invitation. #globalcitizen #outandabout #Perth #bloom #fyp
