FANCY CAT IS PREMIERING ✨🌈

Find us at Agincourt Public Library on October 31st at 2PM. Following the show, we’ll invite children and families to DANCE, SING, ACT and PLAY with us in our signature participatory workshop.💛This performance is FREE, we would love to see you there.

Fancy Cat is a joyful dance-theatre musical following Fancy, a nonbinary Grade 3 student navigating friendship, self-expression, bravery and belonging. Created for young audiences and their grown-ups, the performance invites everyone into the story through movement, music, imagination and play.

The cast of Fancy Cat has been working playing laughing their way into bringing this show to life. The Toronto premiere of Fancy Cat is just the beginning for our friends as we tour the show across Canada in 2027.🇨🇦✈️

First year post because second year starts tomorrow!!

What an amazing year! I met so many incredible people, learned and grew so much, and made such amazing friends. I am so grateful and lucky to be pursuing what I love in university, and it is not lost on me how rare that is. I am grateful every day. The love for this art as well as the passion of the educators, students, and role models in the dance community keeps me so motivated. I won’t waste this.
Thank you to everyone I met and learned from this year. Thank you to my choreographers for putting your faith in me. Thank you to my friends and family and everyone else who shows me love. I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for second year! #yuampd #yorkdance #torontodance

Meet ArtReach's 2026 Community Arts Programming Grantees! ✨

The Embody Dance Program is a two-part workshop series for Trans and gender-expansive youth that will teach leadership and program administration skills to a cohort of dancers who will then apply the skills learned to teach essential dance skills to beginner youth in a safe space. The program will culminate in a final showcase where youth leaders will present their program experiences and youth participants will perform. Follow @mielli_honey to stay up to date on the program!
