Receiving two Bronze awards for Best Use of Media Relations and Community Relations and Engagement at this year’s PRINZ Awards reflects the collective effort behind sharing the story of WIPCE 2025 with Aotearoa and the world. Last November, under the korowai of iwi manaaki Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, WIPCE 2025 welcomed more than 3,800 delegates from over 40 Indigenous cultures to Tāmaki Makaurau. Together with AUT and the WIPCE International Council, we’re proud to have amplified the stories of Indigenous excellence, platforming leaders, educators, researchers, and knowledge holders across Aotearoa and beyond. This recognition reinforces the importance of Indigenous-led communications and of our industry in sharing diverse voices and knowledge systems. It’s uplifting to see the value of kaupapa-driven practice celebrated in this space. We’re excited to share that we are finalists in two categories at the @prinz_nz Awards this year - Best Use of Media Relations and Community Relations and Engagement - for our mahi for @wipce2025 alongside @autuni . Our entries reflected how our communications strategy, Te Paringa Tai (“The Rising Tides”), carried the stories and voices of the kaupapa, ki te ao. Working alongside our partners, we helped to ensure the voices of 3,800 Indigenous leaders, educators and knowledge holders from over 40 cultures were centered and heard, across Aotearoa and beyond, via: • 260+ media pieces • 14.4 million people reached in Aotearoa alone • Indigenous voices elevated across national and global platforms Ngā mihi nunui to the WIPCE International Council and AUT for their trust and partnership, and to @ngatiwhatuaorakei for their manaaki in hosting WIPCE manuhiri. Last week, @bettyanne.music debuted at #1 on the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Albums Charts and #9 on the Official Top 40 Albums chart, in the first week of release of her first solo album ‘Slow Burn’. Te mutunga kē mai o te manu hōnenga , Betty-Anne’s (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, Tainui, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) solo debut marks a defining new chapter, grounded in healing, resilience, and hope. Our role was to ensure her story was carried with care and mana, honouring her journey while bringing her next phase into the light. Working with Betty-Anne from the release of the first single from the album ‘You Remain’ and its reo Māori counterpart ‘Pūmau Tonu Koe’, through to this moment, has been the ultimate joy for our whānau. He Paringa o Te Tai, He Huihuinga Iwi Taketake! We’re proud to back kaupapa that uplift underserved communities and improve social outcomes for Aotearoa and the world. The World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education (WIPCE) 2025 was a clear example of that - Indigenous leadership, knowledge and solutions front and centre. Thousands of Indigenous educators, leaders and knowledge-holders gathered in Tāmaki Makaurau to exchange insights, celebrate culture and advance Indigenous led-solutions for ngā mokopuna o te āpopō. As communications partner, our team worked closely with event hosts Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau (AUT) the WIPCE International Council, and iwi manaaki Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, to ensure the many stories, voices and moments of brilliance were carried across media with care and integrity. More than 200 pieces of coverage across Aotearoa and international media helped to place Indigenous excellence at the forefront…where it belongs. Nō mātou te waimārie, we are fortunate to have played a role in such an important event for ngā iwi taketake o te ao!
