There are very few times you'll ever hear me say that someone inspires me to do something. Stu Thorne is one of the few. I've watched how he does everything cyclocross from the beginning and I never miss an opportunity to spend time with him at races. He's always been my number one go to when I have questions about running a team, doing things the right way or the wrong way or even the simplest of mechanic tricks. The new article in @cxmagazine is worth the read if you want to know what it takes to not only be the best but remain in this game for as long as he's done with the riders and his staff. It’s been a few days since Nats in Louisville and finally the dust, or should I say mud, has settled. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes to make our team run without a hitch. We have to get the whole show to and from the races, setup the team space, take care of the bikes all weekend and look after the riders. None of this happens without the most hardworking crew on the planet. @mikeberrymech is not only the guy you see at the race turning wrenches and handing up bikes, he’s also here at the shop building just about all the team bikes, gluing wheels and doing whatever it takes. And all this with a smile and even keel. Truly one of the best there is. @garywolff The master behind making the bikes of @stephenhyde and @kaitiekeough perform flawlessly. Gary has been a mainstay on the cross scene for the better part of 20+ years. We are lucky to have him. @rawnysemba Logs hours behind the wheel of the team truck and then changes hats as the main mech for @curtisjwhite and @spencercx1 providing bikes to take them to the podium. @miatron Swanny extraordinaire! Keeps the riders in check all weekend long and keeps us well fed . So grateful to have her as part of the team. Last but not least - @cdelinks and @mttytee. These guys provide indispensable knowledge to the riders about the course and riding techniques. Truly a pair that beats a full house, all while keeping it fun. Cause at the end of the day if we can’t have a good laugh then it’s time to move on. Huge thanks to all of you that make this team what it is!! 📷’s @mcmahon_meg
