Day 3 of 5. The Nikah — A ceremony unlike anything seen before.

A stage floating at the heart of still waters.
Boats fanned in perfect symmetry, each carrying guests towards the couple at the centre.
White parasols and floral pathways framing every view.

Day 3 of Naima and Vish’s wedding in Portugal was nothing less than extraordinary. The venue hosted something it had never attempted before. An entire ceremony designed on water, where every guest was part of the geometry. The effect was breathtaking, both in its originality and in the intimacy it created.

This vision was brought to life by @veil_veu, who transformed an idea into an experience, and @solardalevada_lagodoscisnes, whose florals framed the water in soft, sculptural beauty.

Naima and Vish chose outfits that mirrored the elegance of the setting. Beautiful, refined and perfectly understated for the moment. The simplicity of their style allowed the setting, the water, and the emotion of the ceremony to take centre stage, without losing an ounce of sophistication.

This was not just a ceremony. It was a statement of love, of heritage, and of the art of creating moments that could exist nowhere else.

This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a masterpiece of planning, meaning and emotion. Five days of extraordinary celebration in Portugal, layered with detail and soul. From the first moment to the last, it was a reflection of who Naima and Vish are and what they value: connection, beauty, intention. Every space was transformed. Every event felt considered. Every moment, from the quietest glance to the loudest dance floor, told part of the story.

@veil_veu, you didn’t just plan a wedding, you designed an experience. One that moved with intention, unfolded with style, and left everyone present in awe, including us. The level of thought, beauty and craft behind it all was truly world-class.

Naima and Vish, Thank you. For your generosity, your presence, and the trust you placed in us to tell this story. Having already spent time with your family before, it made this celebration feel all the more personal. One we’ll always hold very close for a very long time. Thank you / thank you / thank you.

Day 2 of 5. The Mehndi and Piti – Tradition meets celebration.

The golden hues of the Piti.
The artistry of the Mehndi and the energy of the party.
A day alive with music, movement and colour.

The spirit of the wedding in full flow.

Day 2 marked the Mehndi and Piti, two events steeped in tradition and overflowing with joy. The Piti began in a blaze of yellow, with petals cascading, music drifting on the breeze, and family gathered close to honour the rituals.

By afternoon, the Mehndi brought its own vibrancy. Rich floral installations surrounded the celebrations, the scent of fresh blooms mixing with the sound of music and laughter. Naima’s lehenga by @rahulmishra_7 was a study in colour and craftsmanship, catching the light with every movement. Vish’s look by @bibiman__ was equally considered, marrying tradition with contemporary style.

@veil_veu brought an imaginative flow to the day, balancing heritage with a sense of celebration that never felt staged. The florals by @vilaverdeemflor surrounded the events with texture, fragrance and colour, turning each space into a living, breathing backdrop.

These were not just events. They were expressions of joy, heritage, and connection, lived fully under the Portuguese sky.

We threw a big party and it was magnificent.

Finally, 2 years and 12 days after getting engaged, we had a chance to bring our closest people together, to formally hold our wedding, and at the same time celebrate the special moments from all of our friends and family over the past two years. Missed milestone birthdays, anniversaries, babies, lockdown weddings and engagements. We partied hard for it all.

It’s unconventional to have a second wedding (to the same person 😊) with a honeymoon and a bachelor party inbetween 🤷‍♂️. But convention has been thrown out the window during this pandemic. In normal life there are not enough occasions to bring all those you love together in one place. However the forced separation and isolation of the past two years has emphasized even more how much we missed and needed that, and how important having this weekend was to Hannah and I.

Perfect people, a perfect setting #babingtonhouse, a Christmassy atmosphere 🎄 and some @hwebley magic. A weekend of pure fun, friendship and laughter. We went all-in. Omicron 🦠 did it’s best to throw a curveball and we sadly lost some of our special people before hand (you remained in spirit with us all weekend), but with extra precautions and lots of testing we found a way forward to create a shining light in these dark times. The lesson for me: love ALWAYS wins. Even over spike protein viruses.

Thank you to the *incredible* Babington team. To our uber talented photographers, tailors, dressmakers. The very special lighting and entertainment crew. Our stunning florists. Our beautiful bridesmaids, flower dogs, best (biggest) men and ushers. And most of all, thank you to everyone that came, embraced the moment, threw yourselves in and made this a weekend none of us will ever forget. We loved every. single. second.

We’re now enjoying a couple days in front of a fire, recovering and watching The Holiday on repeat. Love Instabelsh and Mrs B xxx
