People have been bemoaning baseball’s changes and futility forecasting its doom for more than a century.

I’m not here for it. Its reign shall know no end.

Jack Leiter discussing his mechanics and how he thinks about the throw on MLB central 👀.

The pitching delivery is not just linear or rotational, it is both. It is two separate gears (lower half + upper half) working in different ways to create one powerful flow of energy into ball release.

Jack explains that here when he mentions two separate throws one being the lower and one being the upper. The lower body providing the power and the upper body providing the guide to his direction.

A pretty good reason why he is 6’1 & 205 Lbs throwing 100 MPH as a starter.

Get the head inside the back foot, load the pelvis around, let the arm work deep, and slam on the breaks. If you can do most of those things, you will be in a good place in your delivery.
