Motherhood is intense. But do you know why?

And actually, the better question is…..does it have to be?👀

A little language for motherhood to start your Monday. 💛

A little motherhood wisdom AND a little celebration! 🥹💛

Learning about maternal ambivalence has changed the way I understand so many of my own experiences as a mother.

And now, officially a Motherhood Studies Practitioner, following my studies with Dr. Sophie Brock! 🎉

There’s room for the AND.

Saw this on a bridge and, apparently, needed the reminder.

Things take the time they take, don’t worry.

I think we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to know.

Know the answer.
Know the next move.
Know whether it’s a yes or a no.

Years ago, I hired @steph.trzaska thinking I needed help finding an answer about what came next professionally.

Instead, I learned that the question I was asking wasn’t necessarily the question I needed answered.

There was more underneath it.

More to understand about who I had become, what I wanted, and which beliefs I was still carrying simply because they had once worked for me.

I’ve been thinking about that experience again as I build Room for What’s Next.

Sometimes we don’t need to get to the answer faster.

Sometimes we need enough room to ask a better question.

That’s what Room is for.

If you’re sitting with something that feels bigger than the question you know how to ask, there’s room for that here….the link to chat is in my bio❤️

Sometimes the thing you create is born from the season you never saw coming.

Job loss can change the plan. It doesn’t change your value.

There is room to process. Room to not know. And then, room to figure out what’s next.

Room for What’s Next is officially open.

Keep doing your part, trust God with the rest, and don’t give up just because you can’t see the outcome yet.

Motherhood changes women.

But too often, the workplace expects us to return unchanged.

I’m researching how motherhood and caregiving shape women’s experiences with work—including ambition, identity, achievement, engagement, support, and the things women may have been carrying quietly.

If you are a mother who has worked at any point since becoming a mother, I would be grateful for your perspective.

Your experience can help create language, awareness, and a clearer understanding of what mothers actually need in the workplace.

The survey is short. The contribution can be meaningful.

Complete it through the link in my bio—and send this post to one mother whose experience deserves to be included.
