Day 29.

I’ve only shared little pieces of this chapter over the years, but there was a season when I had the opportunity to be the on-camera talent for a home renovation show concept. It felt like one of those “this is really happening” moments. A dream that combined everything I love—storytelling, beautiful homes, and helping people see the potential in a space. And yes... TV means every hair has to be in place.

The experience was unforgettable, but what I’ll always treasure most are the people I met along the way. So many incredibly talented creatives who challenged me, encouraged me, and made the journey even more meaningful.

One thing life has taught me is that a closed door doesn’t always mean it’s locked forever. Sometimes it’s simply not the right time. And that’s okay. Because if you’ve known me for any length of time, you know this hasn’t changed: I am still absolutely head over heels for beautifying spaces, wandering antique shops and markets, uncovering hidden gems, and finding that perfect piece that helps tell a family’s story. Home has always been so much more than four walls to me—it’s where life unfolds.

Maybe that dream wasn’t over. Maybe it was just preparing me for what’s next.

And somehow... I have a feeling I’m still exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Day 6 of 31.

Confession: I recorded this soundbite a while ago and intentionally let it collect a little digital dust. Not because I forgot about it—I was saving it for July. Future Me appreciates Past Me for thinking ahead.

The question is: Can you really have it all?
I think the better question is, How do you define “all”?

Because “all” isn’t a universal destination. It’s personal.

For some, it’s building a business.
For others, it’s raising a family.
For many of us, it’s trying to love our people well, do meaningful work, and still remember where we put the coffee we just made.

The truth is, even when life is full, it isn’t always balanced.

Some seasons require more of your career.
Some ask more of your family.
Some demand your health, your faith, your healing, or simply your attention.

Maybe having it all was never about everything carrying the same weight. Maybe it’s about carrying the right things for the season you’re in.
And if we’re being honest... some days “having it all” simply means everyone ate, nobody cried (too much), and you found your phone before accusing your kids of hiding it.

I’d call that a win.

One year of Happy + Home Collective and somehow I’m just now explaining to the internet what exactly it is we do.

So here’s a little behind-the-scenes interview on how my boutique multimedia company came to life — full-scale production, PR, social campaigns, consulting… and a whole lot of faith, risk, and “girl, let’s just figure it out.” I will drop a few more…

Even better? My sister friend since 2nd grade is conducting the interview because she was the first entrepreneur in our duo and clearly planted the delusion first. Plus, we have been praying on all of this since about 2012/13?? Cheers and Happy Anniversary 🥂

Today is my birthday and I’m walking in purpose, peace, and power 💫🙏🏽

This year stretched me… in the most beautiful and hardest ways. I celebrated love as my oldest daughter got married on our island, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷💍… and I also said goodbye to my mami— one of the deepest pains I’ve ever felt. Así es la vida… it gives you everything and then asks, “What are you going to do with it?”
Here’s what I know for sure:

✨ My happiness is my responsibility. No excuses, no exceptions.

✨ I forgive for freedom. I release, I love people where they are… and I am not responsible for their reactions. Y sigo adelante.

✨ I refuse to live with a closed heart. I choose love—every time. Sin miedo.

I’m beyond grateful… for my children, my beautiful grandchildren, my circle, and for Javier—who loves me unconditionally ❤️

And yes… I may have taken my time with my book, but trust me, it’s coming 👀 Fall 2026… stay tuned. This journey is far from over.

Dios sigue siendo bueno… and He’s not finished with me yet 🙌🏽

More life. More love. More growth. Con intención, con fuerza… y con un poquito de sazón 💃🏽✨

“ John King was one of those people who poured his best into everything he did. People in the community would gravitate to him because of his kind spirit and welcoming nature. When I worked with John it felt like he had my back in the field and I had his.

John was very musically talented as well and had a great ear for great music. I saw him perform at one of his shows with his band. That man can play the drums like nobody’s business.

Since learning of his passing, now when I see a white car out front for some reason my heart drops. I think in my head, I’m going to see him, but it’s just my mind playing tricks on me, because he’s gone. I’ll miss him and pray he’s pain free jamming in heaven now. “
