Yesterday I turned a new Rosewood handle with my friend and brother-in-law Jim. It is for a project I am working on. The Rosewood is Brazilian, but grown in Florida on large estates. I found a sawer that picks up logs from local estates and cuts them. He had two pieces of nearly 2" thick Brazilian Rosewood for sale. He also sells Mango, Cypress and MonkeyPod. (See the last photo). I turned the wood, sanded it and oiled and waxed it and applied the Damascus ferrule made by @mughaldamascustools786 He makes all sizes and sells them reasonably so be sure to contact him.

Three sets of Auger bits (boxed) at the Memorial Day Extravaganza in Webster Florida. The top box had custom compartments with a secret compartment in the center which was ...empty.

I was requested to show more detail of my interpretation of the remontoire (winding mechanism) on my first clocks and how the two arms rise at the same time. I hadn’t really shown it very well before so I hope this set of short clips explains it. I simplified the design after this one because the two levers provided too much power.
I haven’t had this clock apart for a long time so was unfamiliar reassembling! The photo at the end shows the escape wheel not engaging with the intermediate wheel which is around the wrong way :)

I found this Boxed set of original T.H. Witherby Socket Firmer Chisels in their own original box with intact paper label inside. T.H.(Thomas Heuston) Witherby made socket Firmer chisels at his Winstead Edge Tool Works in Winstead, Connecticut and in 1850 won a Silver Medal for them in the Fair of the American Institute of the City of New York. He is famous for his wonderful razor sharp drawknives too. His chisels are among the most highly sought after for the quality of steel by collectors and especially users. This set has an extra chisel and I would consider a "harlequin" set with beveled edged (mostly) and square edged. This is an earlier set over 150 years old as the label has the earlier Winstead Edge Tool Works label. He sold out in 1856 to Harrington, Heald & Co eventually calling it Witherby Tool Co.
