💥 and then some!

The pictures don't fully capture it but tanks to about all 70 of y'all who came out to support the first monthly #blaxicocina Soul Food Sunday! I couldn't be up on the roof to see it all but me and the crew felt the love! To say it exceeded expectations wouldn't be right because I saw the vision and felt it in my bonesss that we all needed this. ✊🏾🇲🇽

Im coming home LA.✌🏾

After two and a half months. Many asked why I was away for so long, if I was okay or my favorite: WHY did you move there? Haha. My answer: I simply needed a break to be myself, heal myself, connect with myself and mostly find myself. I learned a lot, grew a lot and went through a lot. Did it with the help of family, family friends (who may as well be family) and friends both new and old. Time to return to the life I left. Only this time feeling wholesome, appreciative and full of life. Read a quote on a wall here that resonated with me, “the wound is the place where where the light enters you” (Rumi). Stating that the very awareness of our pain is our opportunity to let the light in. Powerful, and true. Various parts of México presented its light, but Mazatlán filled the void where light lacked. I am indebted to the universe for this opportunity of a lifetime, and cheers to what the universe has in store next for me. #READY
