I have many more. Just picked a few and hope you can feel the love in the room. What a gift to meet with readers @the_book_stall in Winnetka, IL! It’s a serene, welcoming space. And huge thanks to all of the staff who made the evening incredibly special. Thank you @aliwenzke for the insightful questions.

I’m still in shock that my childhood camp friend showed up. we haven’t seen each other in decades! There were tears and hugs.

Then in walked another friend from college, who I haven’t seen since graduation! I seriously thought I was hallucinating.

Cousins, friends from the author community, and new people with whom I deeply connected.

Synergy. Stories. Synchronicity.

An old friend from camp @interlochenarts surprise me. I seriously thought I was hallucinating! We haven’t seen each other in 40 years. And another surprise.—a @iubloomington friend! Lisa and I haven’t connected in person since graduation! Family, author friends, new readers. And we sold out of books. I’m grateful for the support and presence.

It took several months to finally get our schedules on the same page — but we did it! 🩵📚👊 Such a lovely night discussing all things books and life. @mimisy6 — who is working on her first novel, “won” a book night out with @reneerosen_ @thishammer and Yours Truly through @theartistsagainstantisemitism Auction.

Lotsa laughs, devising new book titles for one another, discussing book world ins & outs, and an impromptu mini rock concert (Thank you, Renee — straight from Woodstock — that video to be released with her upcoming new book 😂). I always say, the beauty of book people is the incredible support — We are all in this crazy, beautiful biz together.

The amazing 8th graders I have the honor of teaching each week in my elective class are dedicated to doing good for others. Over the past few months, they have volunteered to sort food for The Ark, created a virtual library of read-alouds for our ECC students, transcribed historical documents for the Library of Congress, written heartfelt letters to homebound elderly individuals and our future Kindergarten class, and so much more.

For Purim, they wanted to do something special for our incredible staff—and what better way to spread joy than with homemade hamantaschen? In just one hour, they baked 125 delicious hamantaschen, ensuring that every staff member received a sweet treat to kick off the Purim festivities with excitement! 🎭🎉

I am so proud of these students for their thoughtfulness, leadership, and dedication to our community. It was a beautiful way to start our Purim celebrations, and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings for our all-day Purim extravaganza! Stay tuned! 👀✨
