Nothing like inviting friends over to be my kitchen guinea pigs:) Thankfully @mimolemx Oaxacan Mole Negro is deeelicious! Not homemade but by far the very best mole paste I have ever used. (Most are horribly bland and full of weird things.)
It hits all the right notes: a little bitter, a bit of heat, a tiny tinge of sweetness and nice and nutty. Beautifully smooth texture. AND it doesn't take 2 days to make, nor did I set off my smoke detectors 🤣 All natural, clean ingredients. I served this with easy peasy creamed onions and poblanos. Buen provecho mis amigos. #oaxacamole #mole #mexicohereicome #oaxaca #foodislove #mexico

Look what arrived for me today. A boatload of Oaxacan Mole Negro, all packed in a cute shopping bag. Going to give it a try tonight with a slow simmered pork. Thanks @mimolemx ! All natural, traditional moles, shipped directly from Oaxaca. I'll keep you posted with results 🇲🇽🌶🌴#oaxacamole #molenegro #mexicohereicome #yucatán #myhappyplace #foodislove
