✨️ Surrendering to Truth (not Ego) to transform 🌿 Lover of language, music, dance, humans, nutrition & emotional freedom

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

wow… this week at ICMP London really reintroduced me to my passion for music in a special way.
it showed me yet again that music is not only art, but also connection. i learnt so many things about the craft of songwriting. about melodies, harmonies, rhythms, chords and lyrics. the way they all come together to build a song.
but that wasn’t the only thing that came together. it was also the collaboration of people from all over the world. it was learning from each other and inspiring each other.
everyone writes music in their own way, but what we all share is the love for it. this love led to support beyond differences in genres and to understanding despite language barriers.
i can’t believe how fast we all connected through our passion and hope that we can all stay connected through it for many years to come, even after leaving this extraordinary week behind.
thank you to everyone who was a part of this experience <3

Last night we danced, sang, laughed and grooved together in the beautiful sunshine it really couldn't have been a better evening! There was so much energy, plenty of smiles, and wonderful company, making it another session to remember.

A very special Happy Birthday to our amazing trustee, Joanne! 🥳🎂 We loved celebrating with you!

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening so much fun.

Our next Groove with Mel session is on Wednesday 29th July at 5:30pm at the Linskill Centre. We'd love to see you there, so bring your dancing shoes and come join the fun!

Goodbye 2025! 🎉

Another year packed with happy dogs, mucky paws, wagging tails... and the best walking adventures.

I selected some random videos for this reel from the thousands I have stored... So many great memories to make me smile 😊

A huge thank you to all our wonderful clients for trusting us with your dogs — whether it’s daily walks or holiday stays, we feel so lucky to be part of their lives.

Here’s to more adventures in 2026! 🐾✨

All the best,
Kev & Lauren

And sorry the reel is sooo long! 😂

We are feeling so full of love and gratitude 💛✨
A huge and heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteer Lauren, who once again went above and beyond for Sarah’s Star by organising and leading our very special “Picnic with Purpose” this weekend. The amount of care, thought, and hard work Lauren put into this event was simply amazing – and it all paid off in such a beautiful way. 💫
From creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to making sure everyone had fun while learning more about the heart of our charity, Lauren was at the centre of it all – sharing the story of Sarah’s Star and helping to grow our community. ⭐
We’re also beyond thankful to Lauren’s amazing parents, Linda and Ron, who supported her every step of the way and kept everyone fed and warm with hot food and drinks. And to her lovely aunt, Ruth – thank you for the delicious homemade pie that had people coming in from the rain for a slice (or two!) 🥧💕
When the weather forecast turned, our brilliant June stepped in by reaching out to The Watch House, who so graciously offered us a dry and welcoming space. Thank you to Mick English for opening up and to the volunteers and trustees of The Watch House – your generosity and kindness truly saved the day. From hot drinks to the use of crockery and kitchen facilities, we’re incredibly grateful for your hospitality. 🫶
June also stayed throughout the day to share her own experience of Sarah’s Star, offering comfort, connection, and cups of tea – thank you for being such a powerful voice in our community. ☕💬
And a huge thank you to Kev, who began supporting Lauren in her volunteering journey and has now become a dedicated volunteer himself. Kev does so much behind the scenes – always ready to lend a hand, always showing up with heart. This weekend, he even contributed to the event’s funding – just one more way he quietly goes above and beyond. We see you, Kev, and we’re so grateful to have you on our team. 🙌💙#sarahsstar #palliativecare #realconversations #livingmatterspodcast

The Picnic with Purpose was a success💛

Though the rain made an early appearance, we found shelter in the cosy chill tent thanks to @cbkadventure ⛺️ — and were delighted to welcome passersby into the watchhouse for slices of homemade pie 🥧

As the skies cleared, the joy truly blossomed. The kids had the time of their lives splashing about on a giant paddle board, all made possible by @cbkadventure 🌊🛶

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring this day to life — and to all who donated: together we’ve raised £752 (and counting)! 🎉

Word on the street is… there might be another one in September! 👀☀️ Stay tuned!

What’s the point in relationships? 🤔

Is your relationship fulfilling its full potential beyond simply love and companionship?

Last week, Lauren @mind_matter_magic and I chatted about purposeful partnerships - exploring deeper connections and healthy, thriving relationships between the masculine and feminine 💖.

A BIG thank you to all the amazing women who joined us @wishwriting1 @thebackgroundsounds @mind_matter_magic @thepeacockandtheprintmaker @kerry_serendipity @clairemc_x

✨April Wrap Up✨

Boy has this month been eventful! It started with a bang that was #rare24paris, which was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful I got to meet my favourite authors!

Maybe that’s why the inspiration flowed when I was at the finish line of my draft. It was hard to start writing but when I did everything just fell into place. And now I have a finalized manuscript that I can start editing once I’m ready.

I tried to slow down my reading after RARE, and devote more time to writing instead. But, as it happened, I had so many things going on that neither reading nor writing were getting done 😅 I did start the gem that is The Kiss Quotient that I’ll finish in May, and read Love in Lingerie— a recommendation from @books.plants.and.tea which ended up being so addictive I couldn’t stop reading, and when I wasn’t reading I was thinking about it ❤️

My ARCs were also all wonderful. I truly enjoyed every page, and because I didn’t take too many I didn’t feel this pressure to read faster and get it over with.

Looking back now, I think I’m proud of myself. A year ago I couldn’t imagine finishing a draft, let alone writing > 100k words. I couldn’t imagine putting myself out there and meeting so many talented people— authors, bookstagrammers, designers. I think I did pretty well ☺️ I have no idea how this turned into yearly reflections, I guess it’s just my mood today. It’s a holiday here in Belgium so I let my mind run free while I’m chilling on my patio 🏡

QOTD: how was your April? Did you do anything fun? Have your books been 5 star reads or were you slumping?
