Behind every business is a person who needs a little reset too. 🤎✨

As much as I love creating, serving and pouring into others, I’m learning that making time to recharge is part of the journey too.

A little reset. A little self-care. Then it’s back to doing what I love. 👩🏾‍🍳✨

And of course, my favourite @mindfull.mommies bag came along for the reset. 🤎

We spend so much time investing in our kids… but are we investing into them?

Starting school is the perfect reminder that independence is a skill not a personality trait.

Let them struggle a little.
Let them try.
Let them make mistakes.
Let them figure it out.

Because every time we give our kids the space to do something hard on their own, we’re making an investment in the adult they’re becoming.

The goal isn’t to make life easy for our kids.
It’s to make sure they know they can handle it.

And THAT is an investment that pays forever. ❤️

This summer, we made one promise to each other: we’d make time for us. 🤍 As parents, it’s so easy to let your relationship take a back seat to the point where you wake up one day feeling more like roommates than partners.

One thing we’ve learned is that healthy marriages don’t happen by accident, they’re nurtured through intentional time together. So this summer, we didn’t feel guilty about dropping the boys off at Grandma and Grandpa’s. We embraced it. 🤪

The truth is, spending time away from your children doesn’t make you a bad parent. Investing in your marriage is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family. When your relationship is healthy, your home is healthier too.

A huge thank you to all the incredible places that helped make our summer so memorable:
✔️ @joeyrestaurants
✔️ @elfurnitureon
✔️ @rendezviewsto
✔️ @moxiescanada
✔️ @hunterslanding

Thank you for creating spaces where couples can slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories together.

Here’s your reminder: Plan the date. Book the reservation. Ask Grandma and Grandpa to babysit. Your marriage deserves your time, too. 💚

What’s been your favorite dates this summer? We’d love some new ideas! 👇🏽

I stopped by the space this week and now I’m even more excited for July 25! ✨

I’ll be joining Sip & Scribble at Studio 89 with Mindful Mummies, and I can’t wait to spend the evening with so many incredible moms.

There’ll be creativity, music, meaningful conversations, and of course… me behind the camera, capturing moments you’ll want to hold onto.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is give yourself permission to pause, create, and just be.

If you’re coming, I can’t wait to meet you. 💛
