Thank you for celebrating International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with us!

Guide @maferwetzy took runners on a nearly four mile tour through the West Loop inspired by Connie Fairbanks’s Chicago’s West Loop Then and Now, highlighting everyday women who did extraordinary things for the neighborhood.

📍Thank you so much to the fantastic women-owned @madstreetbooks for being the best host.

🍪 Huge thanks to @localstylechips and @levainbakery for the post-run treats—and thanks for being women-founded companies!

📚 Want to learn more about Chicago’s West Loop? 👉 Head to Madison Street Books to pick up your copy of Connie’s book!

🙏 Love and gratitude to our event volunteers @hurdlexcat, @cynthxchen, @gbmcgann, and @gorky081295.

And that’s our Winter 2026 season! 🙌 Subscribe to the newsletter for details on free April community events and our Summer 2026 season. Link in bio.

Right place, right time. The sunrise wasn’t what @jkarp_photos and I were hoping for. Luckily @kirstenmarina7 @mindfullychioma and @greatlakes_stateofmind from @chicagosup came along with their paddleboards.

💙 🥇🚢 Loved this morning so much! We truly put a special event together! Top of podium always feels good (1st women’s, 2nd overall) but I also improved my time on this exact course in very similar conditions by 4 Minutes! What a whole Summer of training can do!
What matters more though is what we put together here and the community we are building! It won’t be the last event here, promise!

Had a full day of belated birthday celebrations!
- @tamcam60 celebrated me by picking me up at 5:15am and we paddled with @chicagosup race team. Thank you @kirstenmarina7 for the picture!
- Coffee at @colectivocoffee
- We then sketched at the @specialolympicsillinois Duck Derby! We had great time meeting Sam Tang, the photographer, with an “all access badge”! Joe asked me to sketch him slender, no problemo!!
- @tamcam60, @mindfullychioma and I headed to the river to sketch the duck drop! Lots of fun and we met some amazingly kind people!

🥳🐥 And checkout the awesome shirt @tamcam60 got me for my birthday! I guess we’ll be sketching the Duck Derby every year now!

Want to know how to take a traditional biz like accounting and turn it into something that lights you up more? We love helping our students do that!

Check out our past Uncage Your Business student Chioma Njoku, who is now making $300k in her biz by combining mindset work with financial coaching.

Chioma went from getting burned out in her previous accounting biz to now working in a way that supports her financially AND emotionally, and loves helping people more of their hard earned money without sacrificing the things they love OR themselves.

Go check out Chioma’s business at @mindfullychioma

Want to learn more about how Chioma grew her biz to over $300k?? Check the link in our bio @theuncagedlife to watch a “behind the scenes” video with our past grads! Promise you will be mega-inspired!

I love traveling and everything but coming home to this up-for-anything crew is the best! Getting 6 people out on a cold day like today, that’s pretty good!
Thanks Brent @norsman_architects for the hats!
