Fresh air, full hearts, and friendships that feel like home 💕

A few times a year, we step away from the chaos of life and come back to this.

Long walks, slow mornings, beautiful food, laughter and conversations that cover everything — the highs, the lows, and all the in between.

And we’ve finally completed the Great Ocean Walk!!! 🙌 Such a special journey from start to finish.

We stayed at the stunning @alkina.lodge.otways — so serene, secluded, and hosted by the loveliest people 🥰🙏

So grateful for this tradition, these girls, and our “book club” books that rarely get read ❤️😂

Always a lot of fun had with this crew! ❤🤗👣👣👣
We successfully completed the next stage of The Great Ocean Walk, yay! (Johanna Beach to Ryan's Den)
It was a 14km walk but because we walked to the start from our accommodation AND WALKED PASSED OUR PICK UP POINT we ended up walking 19.5km - whoops! 😂
It wasn't cold but it didn't stop raining all day! We could not have been any wetter!! Some of the tracks were sooooo slippery we practically slid all the way down to the beach - so funny! 😂. AND where there is damp forest there is also leaches!! - Just to top it off!
BUT.. Did we have fun?? YESSSS!!!
Would I recommend this walk to everyone?? - Absolutely!! Rain. Hail or Shine! 😉🙌
Huge thankyou to @ridewithus3295 for picking us 'drowned rats' up and taking us back to our GORGEOUS accommodation at @johannaseaside_
Our cottage was so lovely and had the most amazing views (see last pic) we really didn't want to leave ❤
Highly recommend! 😍😍😍

Time to plan the next adventure 😉❤

Let the adventure begin!!
#lookingfresh #abouttostart #greatoceanwalk

I’ve been meaning to share some pics of my last hike as it was a pretty spectacular one!😍

We started at Blanket Bay and walked all the way to Johanna beach (36km in total) and yes it took us all day! 😂
The last 2km was on sand which was hard BUT we were rewarded with the most amazing sunset, totally worth all the aches and pains.. 😉

AND sharing it with this crew made it even more special 🥰 Can you believe we talked for almost the whole. nine. hours!.. What on earth about?? I can’t even remember! 🤣🤣

I highly recommend this walk for any of you wanting a challenge. It’s quieter and more challenging than the Surf Coast Trek (for those of you who have done that) as the cliffs are higher - so more ups and downs. There is even an unexpected river crossing 😲😜

✨💖LOVED IT SO MUCH!💖✨

My two little treasures are back to school and I am so happy that they get to spend time with their gorgeous friends.

As we ‘open up’ again, I know many of you are concerned about kiddos getting unwell in these environments, or bringing illnesses home. Yes this can be stressful, but I always like to ask my clients, “what would it feel like if we focused on what we can actually control and lean in to trust for the rest?”

While there have been many frustrating parts of this pandemic, one has been the glorification of drinking alcohol and eating rubbish food as a coping mechanism, and the non-existence of any public health campaigning around supporting your immune system by living well, eating well, sleeping well and reducing stress. The focus has been primarily on getting the vaccination. I recently read that in the USA, they are issuing free vaccines at McDonalds and this just blew my mind! How did we even get here as humans 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am all for the vaccination if that is what you choose, but it doesn’t stop there. If there has ever been a time that we need to really prioritise our health and wellbeing game, that time is NOW!

Science shows that eating a healthy and well balanced whole food diet, reducing sugar, getting adequate sleep, moving your body daily and engaging in wellbeing practices to minimise stress, all have a huge positive impact on immune function.

This means making a choice to prioritise all of these wonderfully supportive things.

Ensure you pack healthy nourishing food for your kiddos at school, ensure they drink plenty of fresh water, get lots of fresh air, wash their hands regularly and also make sure you give them tons and tons of cuddles, because oxytocin also supports immune function. But also make sure you do these things for YOU.

Set the tone for health and wellbeing for your entire family, model this and lead by example. Take control of what you can and lean into how beautiful it can be to fully support your needs.

With tremendous love 💗
