A few snaps from the @mindovermountain adventure race a couple of weekends ago. This event is so much fun to be a part of, especially when we luck out with perfect racing conditions. A big congrats to everyone involved!

My first MOMAR was hands down one of my favourite experiences to date. I had SO much fun running, biking, paddling and trying to figure out where we were even going, I loved all of it.

Getting to do it with Jon, having so many friends out there doing it alongside us, and the kids waiting at the finish line made it even better.

I cannot wait for next year.

I can’t remember where I read it or heard it, but the notion that life isn’t about the journey or destination, it’s more about the company you keep on the way really struck home this weekend. I was so happy to get high smiles for miles running around the woods with these incredible human beings. That was legit just the best day out. Lots of love and thanks to @coal_city_cycles, @vi_jhow, @roangl7 & the whole crew @mindovermountain for a fab day!

‘Uncommonly Good!’ (IYKYK 😋) MOMAR for team Keebler. Fun times as always with @dodester - while Leah and @brittinuganda rocked as intrepid merch tent volunteers. As always, huge thanks to the @mindovermountain team & volunteers. We’ll be baaaaack!!!

My favourite day of the year has now come and gone. Racing the @mindovermountain adventure race looked a little different this time around. @normhann and I have enjoyed doing this event with the Kman since he was 7 years old. But due to hockey commitments, he wasn’t able to join us (omg he’s almost 13!) We were wishing we had his speedy legs to set the pace after the paddle. An awesome race course was delivered and the volunteers were exceptional. Thanks to friends and my mom for helping us manage all the moving parts so we could be out there together. (1st co-ed sporty, 2nd OA).

The #momar holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve been racing these since I was 20 years old, it’s where the sport of adventure racing ignited my soul and what would lead to decades of global racing from that point forward. I enjoyed the years of course directing for @bryantasaka to put on Momar Squamish back in the day and have loved racing in every and any configuration possible. The Momar is for EVERYONE so just say yes and come experience it.

STRAIGHT FROM THE FINISH LINE. 😁

“That race was awesome. Everything was great!”

Says this guy! 👆😂

Sometimes you don’t need a long race report.

Big smile. Finisher mug in hand. Adventure accomplished. 💙

We’ll take that review.

THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. 💙

Festivities, friends, family - and that feeling at the finish line that fills the heart.

Adventure racing may be about maps, checkpoints, bikes, paddles and kilometres, but days like today remind us that it’s really about people.

Showing up together. Challenging ourselves. Cheering each other on. Celebrating what we accomplished - whether that means racing for the podium, crossing your very first finish line, or simply having one incredible day outside with people you love.

And what a beautiful place to do it.

This is community. This is adventure. And this is why we love this sport. 🧭🏔️

THIS IS ADVENTURE RACING. 🧭💙

Maps out. Heads up. Feet moving.

Hundreds of racers are out on the MOMAR – Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race course today, navigating their way through the incredible Comox Valley by foot, bike and paddle.

There’s strategy. There’s suffering. There’s probably a wrong turn or two. 😂 And somewhere in all of it is that feeling that keeps this community coming back year after year.

Beautiful places. Great people. One seriously good day outside.

Proud to have Subaru along for the adventure and supporting the continued growth of this incredible sport across Western Canada.

More from the course to come. 🏔️

Adventure. Together. 💙

RACE MORNING AT MOMAR 🧭💙

This is what adventure racing looks like on a Saturday morning.

Hundreds of racers. Hundreds of kayaks. Maps spread out wherever teams can find a little space. Last-minute route decisions, gear checks, nervous energy, plenty of laughs — and a beautiful Comox Valley morning waiting for them.

MOMAR – Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race is underway!

This event has been bringing the adventure racing community together for years, and standing here this morning, it’s easy to understand why. From seasoned racers chasing the podium to people simply here to challenge themselves and spend a day outside with their teammates — everyone gets their own adventure.

And they’re off to a pretty spectacular start. 🛶

Meanwhile, over in Manitoba, Swamp Donkey racers are getting ready for their own adventure today.

Two long-standing races. Two very different Canadian landscapes. Hundreds of racers.

One incredible adventure racing community.

We’ll be sharing stories from both courses throughout the day.

Good luck racers — go find some checkpoints! 🧭

Adventure. Together. 💙
