// BEST. DIG. EVER Well, what can I say about our recent 'Wandering Wiltshire' private group dig but... A complete and utter bloody success!! ☺️☺️ I feel so grateful to have gravitated towards 'in my opinion' the best bunch of Detectorists in the world! Laughs were had as we walked, songs were sang around the campfire and finds were plentiful in the Wiltshire fields! As well as old friends, we had a group of fellow Team Minelab detectorists join us which was fab! Thank you of course to @wanderingwiltshire and everyone that made it such a great success' 🫶🏼 • Team CMD Team Minelab • #metaldetector #metaldetecting #minelab #treasure #history

What do you call a group of detectorists? An absolute f*cking bunch of legends. That’s what. @wanderingwiltshire (with help from @miss_detectorist @the_sussex_searcher and @detectortimmy) managed to organise an absolutely cracking weekend of detecting, bringing together some of the best eggs in the hobby in a prime location. There was laughter, food, history, some questionable banter and enough dirt under my fingernails to keep the NHS busy for weeks. Oh, and a hot tub. The finds were incredible, ranging from Roman to medieval, lead to gold. Some people absolutely smashed it, and I came away with a couple of bucket-listers of my own: a William III shilling with detail and a Pilgrims’ Ampulla. Two finds that have made me very happy indeed! A massive thank you to @minelabdetecting @minelabuk for being absolute legends, and to @coiltubs for the hot tub. Because nothing says serious metal detecting expedition quite like sitting in a hot tub in the middle of a field in October with one of your best mates, surrounded by people who get excited about rusty bits of metal. Honestly, that wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card. Weekends like this are what it’s all about. The finds are brilliant, but the people, the laughs and the memories are what make it special. Until next time, you bunch of absolute legends. @cmdetectors @minelabuk @minelabdetecting #teamCMD #teamminelab

Just got home from the most incredible weekend of metal detecting with the most incredible people. 🪙 Genuinely, if you asked me what my perfect weekend looks like, it’s a lot like this one just gone. Camping, cooking, laughing, eating, talking and being outdoors - proper wonderful stuff. ✨ This is only a part one of pictures and this is a shorter caption because I’m propping my eyelids open with matchsticks to write this 😂💀 Thank you so much @wanderingwiltshire for the most cup-filling weekend and for such a brilliant group of people. You really smashed it. Before you all think I’ve completed detecting THOSE GOLD COINS ARE NOT MINE 😂😂😂 The finds are from the whole gang. Though yesterday I did have 5 Roman coins and a hammered coin, pics to come!! 💖 Anyone I’ve not tagged, please forgive me, I’m falling asleep 🥹😴 #teamminelab @minelabuk @minelabdetecting @minelabeurope @cmdetectors

No magic secrets here—just good, robust surplus clothing, a solid machine, and a healthy dose of luck! 🪙✨ This is my go-to gear setup and exactly what I prep before heading out into the field. At the heart of my kit is the mighty Minelab Manticore, paired up with rugged CKG accessories to make recovery fast and easy. Sometimes we get lucky on these hunts, and sometimes we don’t—that’s just the nature of the game, but having the right tools absolutely tilts the odds in your favour. I’m also proud to be a gear affiliate with Crawfords Metal Detecting, Field Finders, and Go Army! That tough, robust clothing keeping me warm and dry out there? That’s the surplus gear from Go Army doing its job. If you are looking to upgrade your machine or refresh your kit, checking out these guys supports what I do out here. Drop a comment below and let me know what you think of the setup! Are you running the Manticore too, or do you swear by a different kit? Let’s talk gear! 👇 #metaldetecting #minelabmanticore #detectorist #treasurehunting #surplusgear

Looking back at some of the absolute best finds of the year! 🏆✨ Since I do most of my streaming at night to hang out with Max and Rosie during the day, those quiet evening hunts have turned up some absolute magic this year. I feel incredibly lucky when I look back at what’s come out of the ground in 2026 so far so good. Swipe through and you’ll see exactly what I mean—from holding up that stunning gold top of a Georgian fob seal to pulling up a beautiful gold gypsy ring set with a garnet. This year also gave me some incredible hammered coins and that massive, beautiful Medusa horse boss that still blows me away every time I look at it. I absolutely love this hobby, and my trusty Minelab machine has truly done me proud. Drop a comment below and let me know what you think of these pieces! Also, I’m curious—do you ever tune into live streams for metal detecting? 👇 #MetalDetecting #Minelab #TreasureHunting #GoldFinds #HistoryHunters
