As we enter Year 2, our goal is to create even more opportunities for young athletes to train, develop, compete, travel and experience basketball at a higher level. We also want to make the Academy more accessible to players from families with limited financial resources, as well as young athletes from underserved communities, including players from Africa who may otherwise never get this kind of opportunity. Brotherhood doesn’t stop in one place. Sam, you’ve been there when it’s actually mattered. Not just for the good moments, but for the heavy ones too. That kind of support means more than words. Farhad, my closest one. From the moment we met it’s been nothing but real. A week after meeting you, I was basically living with you. We trained together, lived together, pushed each other, and you never expected anything in return. That’s family to me. Wille, one of the most reliable people I know. The type of person where one call is enough and you already know he’s there. That kind of loyalty is rare. Peter, my twin tower. We met because your wife spotted another tall guy in the room and decided we should meet. Almost like kids in a sandbox. Since then, our friendship has grown naturally, and the support you’ve shown me has meant a lot. Angelo, we met out one night and instantly clicked. Even before we really knew each other, we stayed in contact. When I was in Ireland, you’d still pick up the phone and talk to me. That’s when I realized there was something genuine there. You were also there for me when everything hit after filming. You gave me perspective, space, and understanding during a time where my head was all over the place. Having someone who understands this world and knows how all of this works helped more than you know. Mino, my Italian brother and business partner. What we’ve built together with the academy goes beyond business. We don’t always agree, but we always find our way forward together. That’s brotherhood. Johann, we’ve known each other for many years now. Being able to work together and help young players means a lot to me. You challenge me, bring perspectives I don’t always see, and in many ways you’ve also been a mentor to me through your experience and guidance in this world. That’s something I respect deeply. Clement, my French brother. At one point I was your coach, now you’re one of my closest friends and partners. We’ve had ups and downs, but we’ve always had each other. I’m proud of the coach and man you’re becoming. Different people. Different paths. Same loyalty. Same love. That’s what matters.
