There it is !!! My drink for this year’s @flordecanachallenge It took me a really long time and I felt like I was in a creative hole for far too long.

Here at @koer.hamburg we already work very sustainably and try to utilise as much of an ingredient as possible.
So after a long time, I finally came up with the idea:

Cherry Bomb 🍒 💣

45 ml Flor de Caña 12y @flordecanarum
5ml Cherry Vinegar @herzapfelhof_altesland
25ml Cherry Pit Liquer
2dash Cocoa Coffee Bitter
1 dash Vanilla Bitter
10ml refreshing Fig leaf tea @weingut.albertschwaab

🥃 Glass @Grandmas Antique candlestick

I have used ingredients that are „waste“ in our kitchen. We currently have a lot of cherries in the main course. I also use all the parts that fall off.
I extracted the vinegar from the leftovers from the cutting. The seeds were soaked in Flor de Caña 12 for 4 weeks and processed into liqueur. I used a sugar with a high molasses content.
My cocoa coffee bitter is made from leftover coffee and cocoa.
In the menu we have a vanilla ice cream, the remaining pods are pickled to make vanilla bitter. Fig leaves grow at our winegrowers in the Mosel, who supply us. For the preparation of each ingredient, I used Flor de Caña 12 ♻️🍀💚

Flor de Caña 12 has a lot of vanilla notes and a nice spiciness that is well supported by the fruity cherry and the slight saltiness of the vinegar.

The drink is rather subtle in alcohol and promises a lot of fun while enjoying an excellent rum ♻️💚

If you are kind enough, you can try this colleague at my place. 😘🍒

Thanks to @marwei305 & @benny_rum_flordecana for the push. Sometimes I need that 😎

Thanks to @mintandmary for that good old picture 🌝
