That’s a wrap! Camp is officially DONE with the team ✅🫡🇪🇸 I’M READY!

Where do I even begin? I’ve had the best camp with Luis Gonzalez and the whole Gonzalez Boxing Team. From the early-morning track sessions, working on my weaknesses in the gym, travelling down to Marbella, sparring, sorting hotels and looking after me like one of his own sons — I honestly can’t thank you enough.

Next week we head to Dublin and put everything we’ve worked on together. Then it’s time to go out there and become a 2x Irish Champion. This is only the beginning of something very special. ❤️🥊

Massive shoutout to @mintboxing for all the pads, advice and hard work, and a big thank you to The @reefonestudio for the last couple of weeks. 🤝

Massive shoutout to my strength & conditioning coach @danny.lawlor.coaching for getting me into serious shape before heading to Spain. 6+ weeks of graft, setting new PBs and making sure everything was on point before we headed out to España 🇪🇸. Great work as always! 💪

The lads have pushed me so hard both inside and outside the gym. It’s been a pleasure training alongside future champions who dedicate their lives to boxing. Thank you, lads. 🤝

Big thanks to all my sparring partners:
@yassin.idir , @kikomartinezboxeador , @tyronebuttigieg & @khataevofficial 🥊

Massive shoutout to my family for constantly pushing me, supporting me and always being there whenever I need them throughout these training camps. ❤️

And to my beautiful fiancée — thank you for letting me go chase my dream while staying at home looking after our amazing daughter, doing the school runs, looking after the house, all while pregnant. You’re my hero, a wonderful partner and an even better mum to our kids. 🫂❤️🥰

Thank you to every single person who has bought a ticket and is making the trip down to Dublin. It’s very much appreciated. 🫡👏💚

BEST FANS IN THE WORLD.

And finally, without all my amazing sponsors, I wouldn’t be able to chase this dream. Three weeks out here in Spain simply wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
Big shout-out @ian_gaughran_boxing for keeping me busy in big fights & getting me the best opportunities 🤝

The Mint is heading to Spain… 🇪🇸

Today we want to wish our coach Gary “The Mint”, along with Kelly and Conlan, all the very best as they begin an exciting new adventure in sunny Spain.

Gary, thank you for everything you’ve given to Shettleston Boxing Club. Your dedication, commitment, support, and sense of humour have made a huge difference to so many people. You’ve been more than just a coach you’ve been a friend, a mentor, and a massive part of our boxing family.

We’re not sure what Spain is getting itself into… between your banter and your stories, they’ll certainly know when The Mint has arrived! 😂

The gym won’t be quite the same without you But this isn’t goodbye it’s simply see you later. Remember, the doors of Shettleston Boxing Club will always be open, and you’ll always have a place to call home whenever you’re back.

Wishing the three of you nothing but happiness, good health, sunshine, and amazing memories in this exciting new chapter.

Safe travels, enjoy every minute, and don’t forget about us when you’re soaking up the Spanish sun!

P.S Gary… we’ll expect you back speaking fluent Spanish and still somehow complaining it’s “too warm!” 😂🇪🇸☀️

Defense isn’t just about avoiding punches. It’s about knowing yourself.

Anyone can learn to throw combinations, but the best fighters know when to stay calm, when to move, when to block, and when to rest in a defensive position. That’s experience. That’s awareness.

Every session, every spar, every round teaches me something new about my defense. Not just how to protect myself from my opponent—but how to understand myself under pressure.

Defense is patience. Defense is discipline. Defense is confidence without panic.

The more I learn, the more I realize there’s always another level. Boxing keeps teaching me, and I’m always a student of the game.#Boxing #DefenseWins #BoxingLife #ProfessionalBoxer

🥊 What a weekend for Team Shettleston! 🥊

We had 5 boxers representing the club at the Beath Box Cup, and every one of them did themselves, their families, and the club proud.

🥈 Spencer – Silver
🥈 Josh – Silver
🥇 Keldon – Gold
🥇 Jay – Gold
🥇 Colin – Gold

People see the medals, but they don’t always see the work that goes into earning them. The early mornings, the tough training sessions, the discipline, and the sacrifices. Some of our boys had to cut weight, others had to work hard to gain weight just to make the right category. It’s all part of the journey, and none of it is easy.

Every one of these boys stepped through the ropes and gave absolutely everything they had. Win, lose or draw, that’s all we can ever ask, and they represented Team Shettleston with heart, courage and respect.

We’re incredibly proud of every single one of them. A massive thank you to our coaches, families, supporters, and everyone who got behind the team this weekend 🧡
