— June, where did you go? you went by before i could catch a glimpse. or maybe, you waited and i was just too busy. i should’ve been more aware, more present. i got preoccupied with papers and worries, i didn’t realise you’d left. and it was July by the time i came to my senses. i hurried over, but it was already too late. i didn’t even get to say goodbye, July was here and i had to be nicer taking it from the mistake i had just made. i hope you come by again though, i’ll be anticipating your return. i’ll make sure to be free of paperwork and worries by then. i shall wait for you with a garland, and make sure to make you feel welcomed. i will take the lilies out and celebrate them. they are the happiest when you are around, they only bloom in your presence. i admit, i didn’t pay much attention to you this time, and before i knew it, you were gone. i hope you come by around again some time, maybe next year, and i shall be waiting for you with a garland.
