This Father’s Day, I’m thinking about my dad, @recio1523. He gave 25 years to our city as a Hollywood police officer, then poured that same heart into our family bakery, @miramarbakery , on 441. He taught me what it means to show up for your community and serve the people around you every day.

To my dad and to every father figure out there—thank you, and Happy Father’s Day!

Huge thanks to Pickleball Hollywood for having @miramarbakery and me at their Valentine’s Day tournament at District 3’s Stan Goldman Park! We had an amazing time discussing pickleball’s future in Hollywood and checking out the new outdoor gym. Kudos to these community organizers and congrats to the winners!
