After hiding all of our mushrooms, we went on a family treasure hunt and found an AMAZING assortment of mushrooms, we also basked in the beautiful day, explored new parks, and even returned to a couple of familiar places on our quest. Thank you to everyone who hid (and found) mushrooms. I can't wait until Game of Shrooms 2027!

Tonight we rebroadcast a tribute show we did to remember Edmonton’s DJ Soulus who we lost 5 years ago in February 2021. She was a kind gentle soul who was an amazing DJ, one of the first women playing drum n bass in Alberta, and a talented artist and graphic designer. Please enjoy these mixes and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her 🙏 💖 ✨️

This past weekend was a GREAT way to sign off this summer! I got to add a lil character to @MaddMik82’s poppin’ piece on the back of @StarliteRoom/@YAfterhours for @EdmontonMuralFest along side the crew here at @LucidDreamTattoo (@B3KVY | @RyanWeisser | @Evelyn_M_Adk)… I went out to Entwistle where @B.AdkinsArt invited me to paint a piece in the Yellowhead Tunnel alongside @Miranova_7 and @TwinzOner… before heading out to celebrate @UmbralSoundSystem’s birthday party, wobblin’ and wibblin’ with my Squishy @SunnysideUp.mEggs and the hommies… then I had the chance to hit up the @StreetStyles780 get together to appreciate some HipHop culture… all before a long awaited dinner to catch up with a couple of the raddest humans I know at @AsiaFest.YEG.
•
It was a freakin’ BUSY weekend! Reminding me — once again — how important culture and community is in order to continually feel inspired. I witnessed what true passion in proper environments can do to those in search of what it means to BE truly passionate towards the arts and the underground scenes they are trying to enrich.
•
I look forward to the slow down winter will bring after such a busy summer. But first… it’s time to do some prep before heading out to Cold Lake for the @BombsAwayTattooExpo at the beginning of October. If you want to plan out a piece while I’m there, reach out and let me know… I got time! Otherwise, I’ll have a TON of pre-drawn designs available. Remember, too… I’m a custom artist, so I got no problem drawing your idea up on the spot as well.
•
Aside from that… I got tons of time available between now and the end of the year to get work in, here at the shop. Your idea or mine… start something new or finish off something old… big or small… colour or black and gray. I ain’t picky… I just wanna create some perma-art for those interested. Get at me if YOU are!
•
What do you think I should draw up to have ready to paint for next year? Let me know below👇

This friday is a pretty big deal for me so I gotta jump into front of the camera for once lol

@etherwooduk is someone who got me into drum and bass and has shaped my own music which I have a LOT to share with you.

At the very least come out for @miranova_7 and @arsondrmz who deserve all the love tbh.

See you friday!

🎨 We will have not one but TWO amazing live painters at the show! Take a peek into the world of Mira Nova 🌿

“I am inspired by nature and the depths of emotion, constantly working on ways to bring them together. I see beauty in the primal survival, darkness, mystery and spirit that exists in us, and all living things. I like to bring a sense of that mystery out in my paintings when I can and I hope that with my artwork, a sense of connection comes, in that unspoken realm where we see and feel in our truest and deepest ways. To me, the place where ideas, unnameable sensations and spirit comes to us is so sacred, and it’s so important to connect with it and be reminded that it’s there.”

Mira Nova (Jen) is a versatile visual artist, JR Tattoo artist & DJ residing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Known for combining images of nature with mesmerizing lines, flowing colors and surreal juxtapositions, her visual storytelling encourages viewers to step into the colorful realm of soulful curiosity. Highly involved in the Edmonton arts community, her work has been shown at various events, galleries and places in the city such as the Art Gallery of Alberta, Muttart Conservatory, Winspear Centre and the Bleeding Heart Art Gallery.
