My loves, I have a strange little essay and some nets in "Field of Play" -- a wonderful riso printed zine designed and edited by the inestimable @mirkat239 for @fjord_ . I'm honored to be a part of an expansive project that ponders being a fan of sport, actually playing soccer, public land use, drinking in Rome, and my little gay nets.

Get your copy at the «stoppage time» closing show August 8. I hear there will be cake! I'm trying to be there!

Please come celebrate the exhibiting and published artists, and grab a zine at the closing reception - Sat 8/8 6-9p.

Thank you @fjord_ for chatting with me about what makes Philadelphia a special place to be an artist, how curating a show typically works at the gallery, the dynamic between collectors and the gallery, and some upcoming shows you don’t want to miss.

This is just a snippet. Click the link in the bio to read the full conversation. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber so that we can expand our team and hire more writers to cover more shows. Right now, I’m just a mom in the suburbs doing this work while my child naps so I have limited capacity!
