RAO scenes autumn 2026 👰🏻‍♀️

I had a wonderful time being part of RAO scenes this term, exploring the character of Ariane from Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-Bleue. I quite frankly couldn’t have hoped to be part of a better group of kick-ass brides in making our escape…

Particular thanks to @lch_attridge @danchappell93 and @oscarholch for helping wrestle with Ariane, both off and on stage ⭐️

(Will also miss Salon DR5 and doing hair & makeup xoxo)

Morfydd Owen: Dilyn Ei Llwybr | In Her Footsteps

On Tuesday we presented Morfydd Owen’s life and works at the @royalacademyofmusic - the very place where she studied and worked (1912-1917). We sang her songs, performed traditional folk music, finished with a hymn, and told her story. Her life ended tragically, but she was by no means a tragic person. I love that so many anecdotes were received with awe and laughter🥰

There’s been so much lovely chat about the project around the building this week - students & staff approaching me to say how thrilled they are to have been introduced to such a kick-ass composer, and existing Morfydd stans sharing their passion for her music with me.💜

I’m beyond grateful to have such talented, and generous colleagues at RAM. DIOLCH O GALON to everyone who gave up their time to take part and made the project so so special. Diolch o galon to my fellow Welshie @glesnisoprano for organising this project alongside me! And diolch o galon to everyone who came to support!!!!!

ALSO - @gwylmorfyddfestival is happening RIGHT NOW THIS VERY WEEKEND in Pontypridd!!!! The festival is all about capturing and celebrating Morfydd’s idiosyncratic, cutting-edge, and community driven spirit with a crackin’ plethora of events and activities!
