Syc Ohio 🥉

This weekend at SYC Ohio wasn’t the best I’m going to be honest. I had very high expectations of myself going into the tournament, and those expectations were somewhat met through the first block. The second block on the other hand was another story. My spare shooting this weekend wasn’t what it should’ve been and my shot making wasn’t either. But moving past that here is how I did for each of my blocks.

Short: +90, 1st.
Balls Used: @stormproducts !Q-78U, Concept, and @900.global Honeybadger U78.

Medium: -88, 13th.
Balls Used: @900.global Honeybadger U78, Viking Conquest, and @rotogripbowling Wicked Gremlin.

Long: +62, 3rd.
Balls Used: @rotogripbowling Wicked Gremlin, Gremlin Tour-X, and @cameron_bennett300 Ice.

Overall: +64, 3rd.

The Highs of the weekend were, hanging out with friends, playing uno in the hotel lobby, throwing cams ice lmao, and the jersey swap with @rc_bowls_300.

Thank you to @stormyouthbowling for running a great event like always, and thanks to my dad for bringing me and being in my corner when I need it the most.

SYC Ohio 16th place!
.
This weekend was a very weird one with SO MANY ups and downs.
.
Short: -39, 33rd place. This was one of the worst feeling blocks of my life mentally, physically, emotionally, all of it. Threw the ball terrible, made all of the wrong choices, etc etc.
.
Medium: +35, 13th place. This block was much better, yet still felt almost as bad as the first one. I had a good set going after 4, being around +60 ish, then the last pair I hit was abysmal and sent me way back down into the negative numbers.
.
Long: +175, t-3rd place with @bmed_6. Now THIS was the block I needed. Had a chance for gold on the block going into the last game, but I once again didn’t hit the best of pairs the last game and shot 198. Overall extremely happy with the way I finished off the tournament, though.
.
Overall, not too happy with the weekend as whole, but happy with how I came back the last block. Had bunches of fun with all the friends that came, especially during late night UNO, if ykyk.
.
So proud of my guy @abe_bowls_300ss for grabbing his 4th title this weekend, congrats bro 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
.
Also really proud of my beautiful girlfriend @autumn_strode09 for medaling on short, medium, and overall. I love and miss you so much. ❤️❤️❤️

Junior Gold 2026!

I cant even imagine where to start. I qualified for Junior Gold in May, at the last tournament it was possible. I didn’t know how much of a blessing it was to be able to be there in minneapolis. I had a blast throughout it all. With all the ups and downs throughout the days, Im proud of myself with how far I got with that being one of my first big tournaments. The memories I made is unforgettable, and the people I met there were so amazing and fun to be around. Huge thanks to @parkeryoung300 and @misaelg7123 that made the trip even more enjoyable. I placed 77th out of 915 of some of the best youth bowlers in the country. There is so much I could have done better, but now it’s onto the next.

I can’t thank my girlfriend @london.askins ❤️ and her parents @crashaskins and @smaskinss enough for allowing me to stay with them. It was such a blessing to be able to do this with them. Thank you so much!

I knew my parents weren’t available to take this trip, and I took the risk to drive over 750 miles each way. That was probably the most stressful part of all. Im glad I made it safe home, with there being anything that could’ve happened on the roads.

Other than that, It was so much fun and I cant wait to do this next year in Indianapolis. All Glory to God!

Junior Gold 2026 - 53/915

First post I’ve made in about 3 years… shocking

- Now that I have some time to relax, realizing that this will be my last youth tournament hurts but I can’t wait for what adult bowling has in store for me. Going into this year I was up in the air for if I wanted to use my final year of youth bowling and safe to say it was worth it. Overall the week went pretty well just some unfortunate events formed like missing spares and unlucky breaks. Spare shooting could have been way better but was fortunate to strike enough to offset it. Going into this week my goal was to make match play and I way short only going +92 for the tournament with the cut being +295. Had great looks in the advancer rounds to try to make up ground but transition and unfortunate hits ultimately slowed me down along with a few horrible shots. Physical game was good and felt like it got better as the week went on just dug myself too large of a hole to come out of after day 1 and 2.

JUNIOR GOLD QUALIFYING BLOCK 1 ✅

Sorry for the late post but I had my first squad of the tourney last night at Brooklyn Park and we were bowling on what I think was the shmedium pattern.

Game 1 I started in a pair where the lane to lane was HORRIBLE. On fresh the left lane was hooking 7 boards more than the right lane but I grinded through that game but an open and split led to a 182. Game 2 I hit a great pair and got right back on it with 278. Game 3 was another pretty good pair and I had front 6 but mid game the insides blew up and I ended up going 242. Moved back to the other side of the house and the pair I was on the outsides and were super tight so after a washout I made adjustments and grinded that game out for a 212 to go +114 for the block.

Overall very happy with this block but I know I left a lot of pins out there today. Currently in 6th place and bowl at 4pm CST at AMF Southtown for anyone wanting to watch on BowlTV. Tomorrows pattern was my least comfortable pattern I bowled on out of the 4 but I know there’s a look out there and I just need to stay focused, stay clean, and make as many spares as I can.

Thank you @camlively.bowling and @zmaynebowling30 for coming to watch my squad and @delaneyrossette for giving me a solid pep talk and calming me down this morning.

2026 DV8 Shootout, and Youth Open Recap

Staring off with the DV8 Shootout, I bowled 4 games on two patterns. Two games on a 39’ and two games on a 35’. I shot 152, 202 on the 39’ which was a struggle. and then when I moved down to the 35’ I shot 299, 235. The shorter pattern was a lot easier for me.

Moving onto the Youth Open, I started off bowling doubles with @vinnypiccillo. Where we didn’t bowl the best but that’s okay. I had +4, and he had -18. We both turned it around in singles where I shot +72 moving farther left on the lane. Then at 7:00 I bowled team with @yoo._mason, @ashtyndevries, and @misaelg7123. We bowled well and had a lot of fun. I shot +66.
