Ballet Rhode Island presented a world premiere work by Emily Mistretta for Off the Wall, a collaboration with the Westerly Museum of American Impressionism.

"This painting caught my eye for its muted colors and the way it seemed to hold fog and air within it, soft, hazy, and a little melancholic. There was something honest about the mood it created, a reminder that beauty often lives inside imperfection. I want my piece to imagine the scene through the eyes of one of the figures in the painting, experiencing a moment she knows is already slipping away. This ballet is a reflection on that fleetingness; on being fully present even as time moves on, and on how a single moment can echo long after it’s gone."
