Stoked and thankful for everyone who came out to do the beach clean up today. It started out brisk but turned into a gorgeous sunny warm morning. Thanks to @pragerbrothers for feeding all the volunteers. We left the beach and 101 much cleaner then when we arrived. Keep the beach clean every day! Pick up at least once piece every time you visit.

The first Stubbies Event at Blacks Beach, there was no women's division so I surfed against the men. I advanced through several rounds and was hitting my mark. I went up to check the scoreboard (everything was done with paper and pen (or pencil in womens heats) all of a sudden some guy jumped out at me and called me a "cu*t He looked angry, he was foaming out his mouth! He blocked me from seeing the scoreboard, I had beaten him in front of all his friends! Later on, Scot Daley came up to me and apologized for his friends behavior.

This is what competitive surfing was like for women pro surfers in the late 1970's. It has changed for the better and just watch what happens at the Los Angeles Olympics because women will rule the surf world again, just like they did in antiquity.

Ya missed a good one if you missed the club meeting tonight. The Pratt Family presentation about their year-long surf trip around the world by Taihu and Ahnlong was standing room only. We heard about epic uncrowded surf breaks, delicious exotic food, jungle animals, travel by moped and even a new Brazilian member of the family.

Fantastic job boys! Kudos to Ben and Fei Pratt for making the trip happen and sharing it with us. Check out their vlog in the link in our bio.
