I’m so excited for my first shoot with Morgan coming soon! Whether it’s for pageants, branding, or just for fun, I love working with photographers and helping a creative vision come to life. How special that there is now a space in Brookings to extend creativity beyond the camera lens! 📸✨🪩

I had so much fun celebrating the grand opening of @the.house.of.moments in Brookings! 📸🛋️

The House of Moments is both a creative photography studio AND event space owned by @moments.with.morgan.g !! As a titleholder, I am always on the lookout for a location to host events, and a fun space to do a photoshoot— to finally have a space like this in Brookings is AMAZING! For anyone hoping to capture a moment in time or host their next event, look no further than The House of Moments!

Congratulations on this accomplishment, Morgan! I am so excited for you and this new endeavor of yours! 💌 xoxo

Miss SDSU Mini-Vlog! 👑💙💛🐰

Now that our newest SDSU titleholders have introduced themselves, I wanted to post some of the sweetest moments from Miss SDSU day!

Miss SDSU will always hold a special place in my heart. I won my very FIRST Miss America local title at the Miss SDSU competition— Miss McCrory Gardens 2024. It was a year of learning, serving, and growing into the person I was meant to become. Coming back to volunteer as a former titleholder in the @misssdsuorg felt like coming home 💙✨

Congratulations to the newest titleholders and welcome to the Miss South Dakota sisterhood! With loyal hearts so true 💙💛

So excited to welcome our newest @misssdsusd , Thea Tanton, into this special sisterhood that will always have a place in my heart!

As a former Miss SDSU, the @misssdsuorg is something I’ll always be so grateful for. This kind of bond goes beyond a title or a year, and I’m so thankful for the friendships, memories, and women this experience has brought into my life.

Congratulations to all of the new titleholders! 👑✨

National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month 🧠🫶🏼🫂

While doing some research on the impact of mental health in women with hyperthyroidism, I learned that October is National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month. Fitting that this awareness month also happens to occur over midterm season. 👩🏽‍💻📚✍🏼

A little message to all my fellow students— whether you’re still in high school, in your undergrad, or finding your way toward a Master’s/Doctoral degree— life will continue even if you don’t do well on one exam. Your worth is not measured in grades, academic success, or degree level. All we can do is our best and make an effort to be better than we were yesterday.

If you’re reading this and happen to be struggling, my DMs are always open. You are seen, you are heard, and you are valued beyond measure. Let’s chat 💬💌

National Arts in Education Week! 🎤🎶🎺🎹

With a background in performing arts that started at the age of three, I am a proud advocate for arts in education. Through my involvement with dance, band, choir, theatre, and show choir, I was able to bloom into the woman I am today— and that wouldn’t be possible without the many music teachers, band, choir and theatre directors, and private vocal and instrumental coaches who invested in me.

Growing up, the arts helped me gain discipline, leadership, creativity, and the courage to express myself authentically. I credit all my success in pageantry to my incredible arts education. I am so lucky to have grown up in a town that supports its arts programs, and to have teachers, directors, friends, and family who supported me in my arts endeavors!

The teacher who changed my life forever— Mrs. V 🩷

Mrs. V changed the landscape of fine arts in my school district and was a favorite teacher of many students.

My first trumpet solo! I was so proud to receive a superior ranking 🎺

One of my many piano recitals 🎹🎶

Elementary Honor Choir! 🎤🎶

Honor choir was one of my favorite things to be involved in growing up. I was so lucky to have been selected to participate during my 4th, 5th, and 6th grade years!

Elementary band 🎺🎶

My first show choir solo! I got to sing the intro to “Roar” by Katy Perry 🌟

My first solo EVER.

Sophomore year show choir! 🌟🎶💃

Insect Festival with McCrory Gardens! 🐞🐛

Every time I earn a new title, I kick off my year of service by attending an event at McCrory Gardens in Brookings. The McCrory staff have been so supportive of my journey to Miss South Dakota, and for that I am so grateful! It was a beautiful day to learn about different types of insects and how they affect horticulture and agriculture here in our rural state of South Dakota.

Thank you @mccrorygardens for such a fun event and thank you @misssdsusd for inviting me! 🌸🫶🏼
