📍 BAR PHOEBE X KATA NORI 🍣🍔
708 E 18th St, Ste 300, KCMO

Y’ALL WAS OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN FOR THIS COLLAB! 😭🔥 The Kata Nori hand roll was superb! That tempura shrimp and seaweed created a chain reaction of crunch, the remoulade took me to Nawlins, and that fried spam was the masterstroke! 🤌🏾

The Wagyu burger came THICK like a Mondo Burger, juicy with black garlic and Muenster cheese that had me Thizz Dancing like prime Mac Dre! 🍔🔥

Now the tartare had my lips puckered like 44 Warheads, and that turnover was thicker than 44 Yellow Pages with delicious filling but COLD! 😂

The hand roll was the standout! Slide to Bar Phoebe x Kata Nori and tell ’em the Hood Dude sent ya!

Kata Nori X Bar Phoebe first lemme just say… this jawn had the place YANKING like the line to get into Aura on a Saturday! 😂

The vibes were incredible. The bar is posh, stylish, the music was LOUD — my unc senses were kicking in 😂 — but honestly, it was dope.

Kata Nori brought the hand rolls and they NEVER play! I didn’t get any good pics, so I borrowed one of the fire ones they took. That SPAM hand roll? EVERYTHING. I never knew I needed that jawn in my life. 🔥

The burger was big and juicy. There were a couple misses IMO, but I think the place was so busy they just didn’t have time to execute everything properly. The apple pie was cold and had clearly been sitting, and the tartare just wasn’t for me.

Overall though, they got SOMETHING over there 👀 I’d definitely go back.

Review incoming… until then, slide and tell ’em the Hood Dude sent ya! 🫡

📍 The Antler Room

First thing I gotta talk about is the AMBience. This place is beautiful! 🔥 Then you get to the food, and every dish has its own identity.

That tomato & watermelon salad? INCREDIBLE. The flavors are still making my taste buds tingle! 😂 Every dish leveled up when you tasted everything together.

But that soup dumpling? BABYYYY… I could’ve eaten 14 of them! Soft, tender, then BOOM — the soup exploded in your mouth. Pause. 😂🔥

And listen, I tried seared beef heart, so come ready to explore and try something different!

Creative dishes, beautiful atmosphere, and a whole experience.

Slide and tell ’em the Hood Dude sent ya! 🤞🏾🔥

📍 ANJIN — 1708 Oak St, Kansas City, MO

To all my fellow BIG BACKS… Anjin might be my favorite restaurant in the Crossroads. 😮‍💨🔥

The watermelon + fatty tuna combo had my taste buds doing backflips. The watermelon is thin, refreshing, and salty from that tuna pairing? I’ll take 6. 😂

The milk bread was slightly sweet and softer than the fur on two Teletubbies. 😂 Then that crispy fried chicken with the spicy seasoning and jalapeño mayo? SHEESH. One piece was a little tougher than it needed to be, but that jalapeño mayo SET IT OFF.

And listen… I’m not even a big mushroom fan unless we talking Mario or the magic kind 😂 but that tempura mushroom? LIGHT, CRISPY, tender inside, and absolutely 🔥. Must try.

Get your reservations in because they stay BOOKED. 🚀

GO TO ANJIN. That’s it. That’s the post. 😂🔥

I could go all day talking about the experience, but honestly, I think it’s better if you go experience it for yourself.

Don’t be intimidated if you don’t know what everything is — the staff is incredible and will help you make some great choices. And trust me, you really can’t go wrong because EVERYTHING I tried was hitting. 😂🔥

So stop playing… just slide through and tell ’em I sent ya. Oweeeee! 🗣️🔥
