WE DID THE TIME WARP AND RAISED NEARLY $1,800 FOR CHARITIES!!💋🎭

It’s been two weeks and the numbers are in! Our SOLD OUT Rocky Horror Fundraiser was a success! Thanks to our amazing community, we raised nearly $1,800 for five charitable organizations!

YOU helped decide where the money went! We collected 280 charity votes, and here are the results in order of most votes received:

1. Transgender Center of the Rockies @transcentercolorado
2. Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) @rmian_org
3. Firehouse Art Center’s Slay the Runway @slaytherunwayco
4. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – Boulder County @imaginationlibrary
5. Longmont Elks Lodge #1055

Every organization received a donation! ❤️ And a special thank-you to the Longmont Elks Lodge for hosting us and raising additional support through dinner and bar sales.

This was Lex Local Events’ FIRST theater-style production, and we pulled it together in just THREE WEEKS! We’re blown away by the support and so grateful for everyone’s patience and flexibility as it all came together.

A HUGE thank-you to our director without whom this would never have been possible @minnipoppins!

As well as to our volunteer actors @kourt_lesperance @theodorathomaspoetry @kayla.bugg999 @bayla.bee @drmeatmonk @misselaneyarts @montycat729 @colleen_meighan @s.gochis @libertadtv

Our volunteer crew Jamie, @courtneymichelles , @xavybaby88 , @argyscolin , @lexx_5280 , Rick, Wayne, Maddie, and so many more plus our fabulous drag performers, sponsors and vendors.
You all helped us turn a wild idea into an unforgettable night!

Unbelievably grateful to have hosted the INCREDIBLE Rocky Horror Fundraiser alongside this amazing Director! I can’t even put into words how beautiful, difficult, magical, and inspiring it was to do this. We couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who showed up and supported all of this funky weirdness for so many good causes!! We can’t wait to tally the donations! More to come!

MEET THE CHARITIES FOR OUR ROCKY HORROR FUNDRAISER 💙💗

Next up: Transgender Center of the Rockies!

TCR provides gender-affirming services and community support for transgender, non-binary and gender-expansive Coloradans, including individual counseling, clinical and peer-led groups, substance use treatment, PrEP case management and community events.

Their goal is simple but important: help people have the support and resources they need to live their most authentic lives.

When you come to Rocky Horror Friday, YOU get a vote on where our event profits go.

A vote for TCR helps support affirming care, connection and community for transgender and gender-expansive people across Colorado.

Support. Community. Authenticity. 🏳️‍⚧️

MEET THE CHARITIES FOR OUR ROCKY HORROR FUNDRAISER 📚❤️

This one is for the littlest members of our community!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library — Boulder County mails FREE, age-appropriate books to enrolled children from birth through age five, helping families build home libraries before their kids even start kindergarten.

Books arrive addressed directly to the child, giving families another reason to read together while helping build early literacy, language skills, curiosity and a lifelong relationship with books.

At Rocky Horror, YOU get to vote on where the profits from our fundraiser go.

A vote for the Imagination Library helps put more books directly into the hands—and homes—of kids right here in our community.

Little kids. Big imaginations. More books.

MEET THE CHARITIES FOR OUR ROCKY HORROR FUNDRAISER ❤️

Next up is the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network — RMIAN.

For more than 25 years, RMIAN has provided free immigration legal and social services to low-income immigrant children, families, and adults in immigration detention throughout Colorado.

Here’s something a lot of people may not realize: people facing immigration proceedings are not automatically provided an attorney if they can’t afford one. That includes children. Without organizations like RMIAN, people can be left to navigate an incredibly complicated, high-stakes legal system on their own.

RMIAN works with some of Colorado’s most vulnerable immigrants, including children and families who have survived abuse, neglect, abandonment, trafficking, persecution, and violence. Their Children’s Program provides legal representation, Know Your Rights education, referrals, and other support, while their Detention Program provides legal and social services to immigrants detained and facing deportation in Aurora.

And this work is especially important right now. Federal funding that supported legal representation for unaccompanied immigrant children was terminated again this summer, putting additional pressure on organizations like RMIAN to find other ways to fund this work.

This Friday at Rocky Horror, YOU get to vote on where our event profits go.

A vote for RMIAN helps support access to legal representation and social services for immigrant children, families, and detained adults who otherwise may have to face the immigration system alone.

Dignity. Due process. Access to justice. ❤️

Slay the Runway 2026 is a wrap. I can't believe this is our 6th year doing it. Thanks to all the incredible designers that put their hearts into it and bravely walk the runway. Also my partners in gender trouble for helping make Slay magic for so many young folx. Thanks to the parents and friends that came out and supported these incredible teens. Lastly, a special thanks to the chair upholstery that made my jacket so shiny. #NoOn109 #NoOn110
