Last week, our team stepped away from the office for a working retreat, trading our usual routine for a change of scenery. Running a nonprofit is complex, and the daily demands of our programs often mean that essential tasks get pushed to the back burner. This retreat gave us the uninterrupted space (aka no beautiful participants to answer to 🙃) we needed to collaborate, tackle those long-standing projects, and focus on the big picture. Best part, it wasn’t just about productivity; it was about connection. We spent the evening sharing a meal and games at Tricia’s family home, and our morning fueled by fresh coffee and homemade coffee cake, peaceful views, and a few well-deserved “paper crown” celebrations for our task victories! While we accomplished a great deal, we know there is always more work to be done. We are leaving this retreat with a renewed sense of purpose and a deep gratitude for a team that chooses collaboration over competition (unless we are playing games). We are so lucky to work alongside people who truly embrace our mission and live it out every day through heart, hope, and compassion. We’re already looking forward to the next one! Thank you for hosting Sandy!🤍

The LaunchPad family is growing! 🚀 We are thrilled to welcome Kiki and Victoria to our team, bringing us to a total of six. We are so excited to have you both on board and look forward to growing alongside you! It has been a season of incredible milestones and personal growth for our entire crew: * Cameron passed his learner’s permit! * Tayonna bought and registered her own car. * Dani passed her Med Aide class and earned a well-deserved raise. * Nae is crushing her health goals by working out and cooking at home. * Kiki has officially applied to MCC. * Victoria just opened her very first bank account. We are so proud of the young people they are all becoming and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next. The next time you’re shopping at BeLoved, please stop by and say hi to our new faces!

Celebrating One Year of BeLoved! What a year it has been! From our “Ladies Day Out” and pop-up events to every person who stepped through our doors to shop or browse, your support has been the heartbeat of our first year. What began as a vision for Foster Heart + Hope has blossomed into a beautiful reality. We are thrilled to share that this year, our boutique raised $14,200, with all proceeds going directly back into providing basic needs for those we serve. Beyond the racks, BeLoved is a space for real-world training for young people impacted by foster care, a hub for eco-friendly shopping, and a place to connect to a cause greater than ourselves. Thank you for every conversation, purchase, and connection that has helped us build a community where everyone feels supported. We hope that everyone who has visited has felt the compassion behind our mission. As we look ahead, we invite you to continue pouring into us. We are typically open Wednesday through Saturday. In the coming months, you will see new faces as our latest group of interns begins their training—thank you in advance for your patience and kindness as they learn the ropes! Finally, we owe a special debt of gratitude to the partners who allow this program to flourish: the Stevens and Kenny Family Foundation, the Heistand Family Foundation, and the CL Werner Foundation. Your support is changing lives in a very real way and providing hope to so many young adults. With gratitude, BeLoved (pronounced “Be Loved”) Amber, Fehi, Nae, Tayonna, Dani, and Cameron

The five of us have truly found our footing and we’re having an amazing time doing it. We execute quietly while bringing creativity, authentic connections, and a collaborative spirit that transcends our individual roles. We kicked off our 10 day adventure with the 🏌🏽‍♀️ June 3rd Fusion golf tournament that benefited us, followed by a 🎨 grand welcoming gathering for Arshaad, who is creating our mural. We also had the opportunity to 🧍🏾 host multiple volunteer groups, including PayPal and Kiewit, and we invited 👧🏼🙋🏿‍♂️ volunteers and children to participate in the mural. Additionally, we successfully executed a 🛍️ Shopping Day and prepared for and crushed yesterday’s unforgettable 🏳️‍🌈 Flying Flags for Charity event. “My team consistently shows up, enjoys what they do, and brings their family and friends along for the ride. We stand out in many ways, but one of my favorite aspects is the connections and friendships we’ve formed. My heart is full. Thank you, Matt, Tricia, Lindsey, and Fehi; you are all incredible leaders of this team.” -Amber
