Some moments deserve to be lived in slow motion. ✨

Walking through Times Square in the Miss USA Legacy Collection Bodycon Dress felt like stepping into my very own movie moment—bright lights, big dreams, and a little Miss USA magic in the heart of New York City. 🗽👑

The Miss USA Legacy Collection is available now on the official Miss USA website!

I DID IT! 🥹👙✨

In 2021, I wrote down a New Year’s resolution to compete in a beauty pageant. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that resolution would lead me here: standing on pageantry’s biggest stage in a two-piece bikini after losing 170 pounds. 👙

At 41 years old, I was also the oldest contestant at Miss USA, and I could not be prouder. I hope this moment reminds every woman that there is no age limit on chasing a dream, reinventing yourself or stepping boldly onto a new stage.

This moment was about so much more than a swimsuit. It was about facing my biggest fear, embracing the body I fought so hard for and proving to myself that I am capable of doing hard, scary and extraordinary things.

Five years later, I can officially say: resolution complete. ✅👑

To the woman I was in 2021: We did it. And I have never been prouder of us. 🤍

Pageant choices aren’t always in your best interest…

Exhibit A: 9-inch heels. 👠😂

Did they make my legs look amazing? Yes.
Did I trip in them at the exact moment I absolutely did NOT need to trip? Also yes. 😭

One pair of shoes, one unfortunate step, and a very different ending than I had imagined.

But if pageantry has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes you win, sometimes you learn… and sometimes you realize too late that NINE-INCH HEELS ARE A TERRIBLE IDEA. 😂👑

At least I have the video. And the shoes. And now, apparently, a life lesson. 🤦‍♀️

A little peek behind the crown 👑✨ This journey is about so much more than a title. It’s about the weight I lost physically and mentally, the limits I refused to accept, the impact I’ve made along the way, and stepping onto the Miss USA stage as the oldest contestant this year at 41.

Here’s a glimpse of what I’ve done with the crown and, more importantly, what I plan to keep doing with it. 💙✨

Today, it became real. 💙✨

Receiving my Miss Michigan USA sash was one of those moments I’ll never forget. It’s more than a sash, it’s a reminder of a dream that started years ago, of every challenge that shaped me, and of the people who believed in me long before this moment.

As a girl born and and educated in Michigan, having the opportunity to represent the state that shaped me on the Miss USA stage is an incredible honor. I don’t take this responsibility lightly, and I can’t wait to wear this sash with pride in Miami. ☀️

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, and believed in this journey. Your love has helped make this dream possible.

Michigan, let’s do this. 💙👑
