🪷 God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Another teacher training completed! This one was special for many reasons. A lot of questions were asked throughout this journey. One simple question in particular kept coming back. Why am I really here? Before the training I thought I knew the answer. I’m passionate about what I do and want to continue to develop and learn as much as I can. However, deep inside I knew this wasn’t entirely the case.

I was there to get another certificate, of course, but not only because of my desire to learn and grow. I was there to prove to myself that I’m worthy.

I realise it’s a shame that I had to fly half way across the planet to find validation. To find a sense of self worth. To find some healing for all the parts of me that are broken, filled with shame, sadness, and insecurity.

Simultaneously , this training was exactly what I needed. We went deep. I cried a lot. We all did. Through releasing so many negative emotions, finding answers, not in the mind but in my heart.

I’ve got so much joy, love, and passion to give. I knew that coming into this… but so do others. I’ve got the be more vulnerable. I need to learn to ask for help. The love and support is out there for me, but only if I allow people to see my shadow. Others can’t help you if they don’t know you need it. Appreciate all my fellow students for providing that for me.

I’m not perfect. Such a thing doesn’t exist. It’s important not to isolate myself when I fail to reach my unrealistic expectations. This perfectionism comes from a selfish place, not from wanting the best for my students, but from the need to prove to myself that I belong.

Now is the time to put words into action. My self-worth doesn’t come from another certificate. It comes from self love, community, vulnerability & acceptance. I’m already enough. You are already enough! ❤️🙏🏽

Lastly, I want to thank my teachers. @teodoyogaguitar @alyssangoldberg @michaelyoga.pt @lesant Grateful for their guidance and wisdom. Creating a safe space for us all to learn, heal and transform.

“Mindfulness in Action”

In my opinion, the real opportunity for self development comes through voluntarily challenging yourself.

You could learn mindfulness in a monastery or ashram and never have an opportunity to face a challenge and put the skills you’ve learnt to the test.

From taking over 5000 people skydiving, I have learnt and seen first hand, the benefits of facing a challenge, head on and overcoming it. A new benchmark is set and a whole world of new possibilities is created by doing something you didn’t think you could and discovering, but it wasn’t nearly as challenging as you thought it was going to be.

This is why I created the “ mindfulness in action” workshop.

For you to learn how to overcome challenging situations with more presence and awareness. To help you discover more of what you’re actually capable of.

if you want to learn more about the workshop, send me a message with the word “ACTION” and we’ll see if it’s right for you.

Swimrise!
Two birds with one stone. Morning sunlight and cold water immersion. Although if I’m honest it’s getting out of the water that’s the cold part. Setting the circadian rhythms and increasing round fat. Not to mention the benefits of mental health.
Thanks for the photos and accountability @missorganic_

Thanks for joining us here. We have experienced incredible life transformations through eating and living organically. Our advocacy is not only about the food we consume but enhancing every aspect of health.

As organic food and farming advocates as well as health practitioners, we have launched The Organic Pair to:

🥑Share the benefits and importance of eating and living organically.
🍌Demonstrate how we eat organic plant based wholefoods on a budget.
🥑Celebrate and endorse organic and biodynamic farmers and ethical, health conscious businesses.
🍌Empower the community to make informed food and product shopping decisions.
🥑Educate consumers to decipher confusing information and misrepresentation in food marketing to determine what is truly organic and healthy.
🍌Encourage farmers to grow organically, removing toxic farming chemicals from our air, water and living environments.
🥑Appeal to farmers and businesses to be honest in communication with consumers regarding their farming practices and product sources.
🍌Teach radical responsibility for one’s own health.

We feel this is our duty to our family, friends and community. We love being organic and want you to feel healthy too.
Steve and Nicci 💚🥑🍌🌱

Sunday 12th December 2021, Coolangatta, NSW.

Three months ago when Free The Nation Music was born we couldn’t have imagined being part of an historic day for Australia, possibly the world so soon after conception.

Being invited to perform and also to speak about what Free The Nation Music represents—love, respect and choice through music—was an honour; to connect directly with fellow freedom keepers and mothers, fathers, sons, daughters—friends and strangers—really filled my heart and inspired all who came along.

Thanks again to the organisers at Reclaim The Line and @wearenotsam for facilitating such a momentous occasion.

And thanks/credit to @holliemaricontephotography for these beautiful photos from the day.

Love, respect and choice forever.

Last Community Sunrise Breath🌅

For 2021 that’s a wrap!💛

What a phenomenal few months it’s been since we began this in July in the middle of winter.

The beautiful sunrises

The hundreds of connections

A weekly meeting with community

Sharing breath

Sharing connection

Sharing the beauty of the sunrise over the ocean in this beautiful city we love to call home.

Many people have also driven from far & wide to share these mornings

From the north side of Brisbane

From far out the western suburbs

Some interstate when the borders were open

Not to forget our online viewers when we’ve gone IG Live

Grateful to have shared the past 5months with you all!

However the Summer months are now upon us & the sunrise at a reasonable time for community has escaped us.

The sun is just too high in the sky, so we close Sunrise Breath down for the season until the cooler months in 2022.

We just want to say a massive thank you to you all!💛🙏🏾
