Today me and my mom were blessed to get baptized together!!! 🤍
Growing up both my parents were youth pastors and so naturally I grew up in a very faithful house hold we lived by the Bible verse Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything instead pray about everything” this quote began to mean so much more to me going through life with the craziness of school, sorority, friends, and the loss of my brother and father. I always had that verse to get me through I always had God to get me through and be my rock in a world of so much change. Moving to Oxford with my mama we knew we wanted to join a church family and ever since we went to our first ever Sunday at @pinelakeoxford we instantly felt loved and had found a home. I started to go to @plcollegeoxf with friends and Josh and found even more love for God there! It wasn’t until the 2 year anniversary of my brother’s death did I step to the front to get prayed for after and knew that baptism was my next step. What’s crazy was my mom was thinking about it, but wanted me to have that idea and want for myself. When my dad passed away he wrote me “Stay close with your relationship with GOD. Let your prayers, heart and gut be your compass to your journey. Start your day with prayer, its set the tone of the day. Either getting through what’s going to be a tough day or to show gratitude for a great and fun day. But always have your relationship with God be a strong part of your life.” These words will forever stay with me because my dad was my biggest role model when wanting to live a Christ centered life and I wanted to be just like him. I’m sad Michael and Drew weren’t able to be there in person to see this big moment in mine and my mom’s life, but I know God gave them the best seats in the house and they were looking up above cheering us on!! I hope my testimony can show people God’s work in peoples lives and how he is always there for you no matter what always giving you moments to smile in the storms and never failing to constantly show you love!!!! 🤍 Doing this baptism with my mom made it even more special getting to stand out there together!!! So to the Lord, I thank you, I love you, and give my life to you!

Late post!!!
So incredibly proud of this dance and how far it has come making it through 2 rounds of worlds and almost making it to finals is a dream!!! So sad this dance is over but can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes next year signing off WCAS alumni Lauren 🩵🤍❤️
