What do you want to experience more of in your next season? High achievers usually don't have trouble setting goals. The harder question is whether those goals are creating a life they actually want. #thedailymastermind

What could you start teaching today that you've spent years learning? Changing your LinkedIn bio doesn't make you an authority. Mitch Matthews argues that the stronger strategy is to consistently demonstrate what you know until people begin coming to you. Teach. Share experience. Deliver value. Make the market recognize your authority instead of asking the market to believe you have it. #thedailymastermind

Are you building options—or depending entirely on the path you're already on? Walking away isn't always an option. Mitch Matthews found himself successful on paper but miserable in the job he'd worked his way into. Instead of immediately quitting, he started creating another path alongside his existing career. Eventually, that option became the opportunity. #thedailymastermind #georgewrightiii

What's one small change that could make your current life feel new again? Feeling stuck doesn't automatically mean you need to quit the job, sell the company or completely reinvent your life. Sometimes you need new options—not an escape hatch. Creating intentional change can give you room to discover what's actually missing before making an irreversible decision. #thedailymastermind #georgewrightiii

Have you ever mistaken boredom for burnout? You can be successful, productive and still feel completely checked out.
Mitch Matthews says the problem isn't always burnout. Sometimes you've simply become too good at doing the same thing over and over. Before making a massive life change, try injecting something new. #thedailymastermind #georgewrightiii

@mitch.matthews and I have been working together for several years. I love the trust he brings to shoots and the variety we’ve been able to create together.

Oh, and he’s a darn good human and coach.

If you’re looking to take your keynote speaking to the next level, look him up. You won’t be sorry.

We close every Mick Unplugged with the Unplugged 5, and Mick asked Mitch Matthews for the one word he is carrying into this season of life. His answer landed softer and deeper than most.

Generosity.

But he did not stop at the pretty version of it. @mitch.matthews said something that reframes the whole idea. To pour out, you have to be poured into. You cannot give from a cup that is running on empty.

So for him, generosity is not only about giving more. It is about making sure he is cared for, filled up, and living with enough margin that he actually has something to give. Take care of you, so there is a full you to share.

He was open that he does not nail it every day. But the more he aims at it, the more it works.

What word are you carrying into this chapter?

The Room is where a guest hands you the idea that rearranges how you see yourself. Mitch Matthews walked in with one that flips the most common feeling on the planet.

That voice that whispers who do you think you are. We call it imposter syndrome. @mitch.matthews says we named it wrong. It is winner's syndrome.

Follow his logic. You never feel like a fraud doing the thing you have already mastered. That doubt only shows up when you are reaching past your last level, walking into a room bigger than the one you came from. So the feeling is not proof you do not belong. It is proof you are climbing.

His move when the doubt hits: thank you, I must be stepping into something bigger, now let's go. And one more that sets you free, learn from the people ahead of you, do not compare yourself to them.

The next time that voice shows up, read it as a receipt, not a warning.

Hot take from Mitch Matthews, and it goes against every motivational poster you have ever seen.

Dream big might be the exact thing shutting you down.

Here is his point. The action of dreaming, letting yourself ask what could I actually do, is powerful. But the word dream? He has a love hate relationship with it. For a lot of people it lands as too touchy-feely, or it feels overwhelming, or it trips a little wire in your brain. Wait, is that a dream or a goal? And suddenly you are arguing with the vocabulary instead of chasing the thing.

So @mitch.matthews gives you permission most people never do. If the word dream throws you off, throw it out. Call it a goal. A plan. A mission. A someday. Whatever gets you moving. The label was never the point.

Do not let one word talk you out of the life you actually want.

The Unplugged Truth is where I hand you the one thing a guest said that I could not stop thinking about. Mitch Matthews gave me this one, and it might save you from a decision you were about to make for the wrong reason.
You are probably not burned out. You are bored out.

Here is why that matters. When we feel that heavy, flat, going-through-the-motions feeling, we assume the answer has to be huge. Quit the job. End the thing. Move to the other side of the planet. @mitch.matthews says pump the brakes. If you truly want to move to Fiji, by all means go. But a lot of the time that flat feeling is not burnout at all. It is boredom. And boredom does not need a demolition. It needs novelty.

A new hobby. A new challenge. One new thing you have been curious about but keep putting off. That small hit of new is often the exact thing that wakes you back up.

So before you blow it all up, ask a smaller question. Where can I add something new this week?

Every Mick Unplugged opens with the same question. What is your because, the thing sitting underneath your why? Mick asked @mitch.matthews when he knew helping people find their thing was his calling. He did not describe a lightning bolt. He described clues.

His line: there are clues everywhere, but you gotta get curious.

God rarely uses billboards. The direction you are praying for almost never shows up in giant flashing letters. It shows up in little signals. A conversation that lights you up. A problem you cannot stop trying to solve. The thing people always come to you for. Small stuff, easy to miss, unless you slow down and get curious enough to notice.

Here is the gift. When you look back, the clues were there the whole time. Your job is to start collecting them.
Your move. Tap play, then go find one clue your life has been trying to hand you.

Sixty seconds with the guy whose whole mission is helping you figure out why you are here.

Meet @mitch.matthews. We packed the entire episode into one fast reel, and it reframes about five things you have probably believed your whole life.

What is stacked in this minute:
Why that feeling you call imposter syndrome is actually winner's syndrome, and you only feel it when you are stepping into something bigger
The phrase that kills comparison on the spot: learn from, do not compare to
Why you might not be burned out, you might be bored out, and how different those two really are
The one thing that separates great from exceptional, and it is simpler than you think
The moment his wife slid a magazine across the table and said, this is what you do

If you have ever felt behind, stuck, or unsure what you are built for, start here. Watch the reel, then run the full episode @mickunplugged
