@awoolenaffair, part one! So many fiber friends, amazing vendors and beautiful yarn at the gorgeous Hutton Brickyards. What a treat to spend the day surrounded by so many creative people.

Today was glorious, like book people, fiber arts people are so incredibly kind and supportive. Maybe even more so, honestly. I had a lovely day at @awoolenaffair which started with a carpool coordinated through the discord, Allyson so graciously added 10 minutes on her trip to swing by and pick me up. We became fast friends, enabling one another in yarn purchases (I’m a pro at this) and learning that I’m very passionate about rescuing yarns. I got to pet all of the yarn my little heart desired and came home with a few sweater and shawl quantities and some other fun yarns whose projects are tbd. I ran into the owner of @moonandyarncraftroom and snagged a pic! Would HIGHLY recommend A Woolen Affair for the atmosphere and the makers there! It’s also so fun to see makers in vivo vs. simply on a screen. Now, time to get making. ♥️

Let's take a closer look at Currents! 🍂

One of my favorite things about this sweater? No two have to look alike or will look alike. Currents is a top-down, circular-yoke pullover with playful stripes of color-changing yarn scattered throughout. You decide where those little pops of color appear!

Next out of the Sweater Weather closet: Currents!

We were so incredibly honored to make the @awoolenaffair vendor signs again this year. They looked so good last year, and we were happy to assist with making Catherine's vision a reality again this year. This whole show feels so magical and it's such a pleasure to be part of it, as a vendor and sign maker.

Autumnal hues have taken over The Woolly Thistle!

The shop is looking especially cozy right now, and we couldn’t resist gathering up some of the colors, yarns, and little woolly treasures giving us all the fall feelings.

We’re loving the rich shades of Lichen & Lace, Höner och Eir Fiber Batts, Hillesvåg Sølje, Rauma Finull, Jamieson & Smith, and of course a particularly gorgeous plate of Nutiden. Add in a cheerful Penelope Bag from Mitchell Wool Co. and some sweet ceramic flower buttons, and we’re ready for fall knitting!

Rusty oranges, mossy greens, warm golds, deep blues, and earthy neutrals... yes please. 🍁
