Starting early in the planning phase just makes the process more manageable. There have definitely been many emotions flood in and out, it’s just part of the process of buying, selling and moving regardless of where you are.

Remember when we were told to stop buying smashed avo if we wanted to own a home?

Yeah... we’re still not over that one.

This shirt isn’t really about breakfast. It’s about challenging the idea that people have to give up every small joy just to deserve a place to call home.

It’s about reminding ourselves that the housing conversation is bigger than coffee, brunch or avocado on toast.

You shouldn’t have to choose between living your life and building a future.

That’s why I love seeing more people wearing this shirt. Every time someone puts it on, it starts another conversation. Another reminder that we can question old narratives and advocate for a housing system that’s fairer for everyone.

Let’s normalise having avo on toast... and owning a home. 🥑🏡

I’ve seen some interesting things happen in real estate over the years... But nothing comes close to the day a stranger wandered into our house minutes before an open home, helped himself to food from our freezer, triggered a police response and helicopter search... and we still found the buyer that day!

This is a true story from about 4 years ago and thankfully everyone involved was safe!

Swipe through for the full chaos.

And a huge shoutout to the incredible selling agents @leanne_ollerenshaw and @jonathonmcmahonrealestate who somehow managed to continue the open home while the rest of us were starring in what felt like an episode of Undercover Cops meets Home & Away.

There is a slowing…

Brisbane's property market is beginning to show signs of a shift. Today's open homes reinforced that, with only 1–4 groups scattered throughout the 30 minute inspection window.

📍Yeronga. Woolloongabba. Fairfield.

The investors seem to have disappeared 💨 BUT confident owner-occupiers are still very much in the market.

Necessity is a powerful motivator. The buyers who need a home are still showing up.

You don’t really understand The Gap until you spend time in it.

It’s not one suburb, it’s a series of pockets shaped by the foothills.

Closer to the Ashgrove side, you’ll find more accessible entry points — older homes, smaller blocks, easier access to the city.

Move deeper in, toward the reservoir and national park, and it shifts completely. Larger land, elevated streets, quieter pockets… and a very different buyer.

Then layer in school catchments and suddenly demand becomes street by street. Same postcode, but very different outcomes depending on where you buy.

We’re so lucky to do what we do, and it’s all because of clients like these. Thank you for your openness, your trust, and for letting us guide you through one of the biggest decisions you’ll make. Buying a home is big; sharing that journey is why we love this work.

We don’t usually toot our own horn, but every now and then a little toot is deserved — grateful for the trust and the wins.

Tis the season of birthdays in our house. Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 very special humans I get to celebrate all at once every single year. HB to the Aries in my life - Mum, Dad, Mother-In-Law and my Hubby! 🥳

Brisbane’s western corridor — Kenmore, Brookfield, Bellbowrie through to Karana Downs has a different feel.

This pocket started as farming, orchards and timber land in the 1800s, supplying into Brisbane via the river. Brookfield was known for its produce, and even saw a small gold rush pass through nearby in the late 1800s.

As the city expanded, most areas were subdivided and built up quickly. This stretch wasn’t, it held onto larger blocks, lower density, and a quieter pace.

That’s why it still feels the way it does today. More space, more greenery, and a lifestyle that hasn’t been overworked.

10 years today @mitchevans12 & I said “I do.”
Time’s strange… somehow it feels like a blink and a lifetime all at once.

10 years of everything that comes with it. The growth, the chaos, the fun, the travel and the quiet moments in between.
Wouldn’t want to do any of it with anyone else. ✨🥰

You aren’t scrolling because you’re bored. You’re scrolling for relief.

It’s 11 PM. You’re on Domain, your partner is on REA, and you’re “comparing notes”, which is really just a desperate search for the one listing the other might have missed.

You “favourite” a property and, then the notification hits: Under Contract.

Now it’s Thursday, and that familiar anxiety is back. You’re looking at the inspection times and realising you have to “divide and conquer” again. One of you takes little Sarah to netball; the other races across the Gateway Bridge for a 30-minute inspection window.

If you find “the one” at 10 AM, but your partner can’t get there until Tuesday? It’s already gone.

You don’t need more alerts. You need a way out of this cycle.

I work with people who are done being “curious” and are ready to be owners. I’m a high-touch Buyer’s Agent, but I’m not tied to one office or one postcode. I’m location agnostic! I go where the right property is, whether that’s Brisbane, the Gold Coast, or the Sunny Coast.

I’m the one on the ground doing the miles and the “scary” stuff so you can actually enjoy the result. I go where you can’t, so you can stay where you’re needed.

Stop the 11 PM scroll. DM me and let’s get you moved in.
