@98gamesofficial with my @rsx_strengthclub family ❤️🏋️‍♀️
.
My team ended up coming 3rd in the Elite Mixed category which I am BEYOND proud of. This was very unexpected as I’m always full of some self-doubt but this definitely proves to myself this is the division I deserve to be in! We had a last minute team change and @turner_trains absolutely killed it 👏
.
These comps are an expression of 3-4 months of very hard training and it’s a very good feeling for it all to come together. Big thankyou to @mitchpike_ for all of your encouragement and coaching and for rallying so many of us from the gym to give it a go. The support we showed for all of the teams from our gym was super special 🥰 onto the next one!!

Way too much fun.
And plenty of reasons to enjoy one tonight…

Huge congrats to all of you guys, you did yourselves and each other super proud!

Special mention to @kateporter_au @georgiaaferguson @jimmyfghood and @turner_trains for taking out 3rd place in Elite mixed!

🤓 Feels so quiet without our full crew during testing, having 20 guys and girls competing this weekend.

👑 Never the less, we’re seeing some awesome results, double digit chin ups, double figure bench PB’s and some impressive distances with our farmers carry test.

✔️ This morning we had :

• Seated MB Throw for distance
• 3RM Strict Press
• 1RM Bench Press
• Max Chin Ups
• Bodyweight Farmers Carry x 1 min for distance

Thursday we have our final day of testing with our deadlift and bench pull to round off a successful block.

100kg tho 👏 👏 👏

Forever asking @louie_777 what she loves so much about the ground?! She laughs every time. And so do I.

Where your eyes go, your spine often follows. If you’re depressed, you often look where? If you wanna fall, look down. If you wanna fly, look up. It’s an interesting concept to explore.

Whilst Emma is not depressed, I do wish she’d tell us what she keeps looking at….🤓

✔️ Just recently we got our group training guys and girls to register a 3:00 maximum capacity baseline on any 2 ergs.

A 3 minute test sits in an interesting zone. It’s too long to rely mostly on raw anaerobic power, but it’s short enough that anaerobic capacity contributes heavily alongside aerobic power.

The goal is to increase the ceiling of power one can produce. If someone moves from 300W to 350W for 3 mins, then workloads like 240W to 280W represent a smaller percentage of their capacity.

It also suits traditional mixed modal type conditioning…

Our testing includes 2 x efforts, one power based and one threshold based.

Raise the ceiling AND then see how much of that ceiling one can sustain.

Now, back to our 3:00 test… 👀

We ran it as a 3:00 test on any erg, 10 minutes of rest, followed by another 3:00 on a different erg - their choice.

Now we’re running a 6 week block, you can steal this if you like.

Week 1 - 5 x 1:00 @ 110% and 1:30 rest
Week 2 - 6 x 1:00 @ 110% and 1:30 rest
Week 3 - 5 x 1:15 @ 107% and 1:30 rest
Week 4 - 5 x 1:30 @ 105% and 1:30 rest
Week 5 - 4 x 2:00 @ 100% and 2:00 rest
Week 6 - Retesting

After this block, we gradually increase the duration and move towards sustained aerobic power work, then race specific work, with our time trials to finish off the year!

Brick by brick 🧱

Just over a week until party time! @98gamesofficial

We’ve had lots of fun with this prep, some would say maybe too much.

For the love of the game 😎🩵

Bridging the gap between strength and fun 👑

Because it’s not always fun, and you won’t always feel strong, but the bridge will be where you find a stronger version of yourself.

Training for another fitness comp to round out the 2026 year and this one will be a goodie 🕺
.
It seems that 2026 has been the year of putting myself out there and rising to the challenge of a few fitness competitions for the first time in my life. But that has come with its fair share of self-doubt and wavering confidence unfortunately, but to be expected when trying something new.
.
Come along for the next few weeks of learning new things and doing our best 🤘

@98gamesofficial loading….

5 teams locked in with a 6th on the way.

20 + people keen to throw down and have some fun.

A couple of extra sessions a week to make sure everyone feels confident with technique, pacing and overall strategy.

Excited for it (and the after party 🤭👀)

🤟🏽
