The Cure For Anxiety

[Matthew 6:31-34]
Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
•
This verse is just what I needed to be reminded of. At times we think of circumstances we can’t foresee with certain doubt and worry. This beautiful verse comforts us knowing all we need is to fully trust our God and focus on Him with every ounce of our being…and to follow according to His perfect well. This is so much greater than simply relying on our own understanding with what little we know.

Today my baby girl turns two. She brings so much joy and laughter to our lives everyday. The journey of having her however wasn’t easy. Everyday I look at her I can’t thank God enough to have her call me mom.
•
This year I’ve joined a group of creative daughters of God in a Scripture study #wordsoftruth. We are focusing on the word surrender. Each week we have a verse to focus on, speak over ourselves, others, and interpret through our creative work to glorify our Lord.
•
This is a weekly loop #wordsoftruthloop to show support to each other. DM @theodoraofosuhima if you would like to join the loop. Please click on the next photographer to follow the loop and view our photographic interpretation for this week until you get back here.

HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING
.
.
My life flows on in endless song,
above earth’s lamentation.
I catch the sweet, though far-off hymn
that hails a new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife,
I hear that music ringing.
It finds an echo in my soul.
How can I keep from singing?

No storm can shake my inmost calm
while to that Rock I’m clinging.
Since Love is lord of heav’n and earth,
how can I keep from singing?

What though my joys and comforts die,
I know my Savior liveth.
What though the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth.
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
a fountain ever springing!
All things are mine since I am his!
How can I keep from singing?

This late 1800s hymn by Robert Lowry encourages us to have a heavenly perspective. What we face here on earth will seem as nothing compared to what awaits us when Jesus makes all things new. Be encouraged and fix your eyes on Jesus. Audrey Assad sings a beautiful version of this song, if you care to listen you can find it online.

Welcome to our Hymnspiration group. We are hoping to highlight the magnificence of God through the hymns his people sing. ️ We hope you are encouraged and uplifted by these timeless lyrics.

👉Fact: Isaiah 53 was written by the prophet, Isaiah sometime in the 8th century B.C.
.
👉Fact: Isaiah 53 is a list of prophecies that were fulfilled close to 800 years later - all by Jesus of Nazarath.
.
👉Fact: The probability of one person fulfilling just eight of the prophecies in the Old Testament is one in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (info from goodnewsdispatch.org).
.
👉Fact: Jesus not only fulfilled eight, but fulfilled all that pointed to Him being the Messiah (close to 300 total).
.
Swipe right to read just some of the prophecies that were fulfilled in Isaiah 53 (I didn't have room to fit them all here).
.

📷 Photo tip: This was my first time photographing moving water in a slow shutter speed. It was um, a challenge, but definitely worth it!
How I did it: You NEED a tripod for this shot. If not, your camera will shake so much that the whole image will be blurry.
.
Settings:
.
Shutter Speed - .6 of a second (to get moving water effect).
.
F Stop: 22 ( to get the image in focus and not allow too much light in).
.
ISO: 200 (again, I didn't want too much light coming in since my shutter speed was allowing so much).
