Two bodies of work.
One conversation.

At photoSCHWEIZ 26, I’m showing Devadasi and Theertham | two series shaped by ritual, movement, memory, and diaspora.

One explores the body through gesture and presence.
The other observes a temple ritual in Glattbrugg.

What interests me is not nostalgia, but what remains.
Between origin and the present.
Between collective memory and a personal gaze.

We met by chance, but created by intention.

At a show, we didn’t know each other, but through a simple conversation, we uncovered a shared passion for art, movement, and storytelling.

That spark led us to create something together. After weeks of exchange, ideas, and inspiration, we found ourselves diving into the roots of Bharatanatyam and the untold story of the Devadasi.

I didn’t know much about this history before. But through these two siblings @mithuxjanu , their deep love for this form, and their willingness to open up, I learned. And I felt it. The dedication. The beauty. The complexity.

We had the urge to translate that experience into images raw, layered, and free from expectations.

No rigid concept. Just trust, curiosity, and a shared space to explore.

These frames are a small part of what we captured that day.

Grateful for the fire, the flow, and the freedom.

We’re delighted to introduce our Pakkavathiyam team – talented and passionate artists from France. 🇫🇷

We will be performing four pieces (Urupadhis) – choreographed by us.
Before every Urupadhi, we’ll share the storyline and some key insights, so you can truly follow and enjoy the performance.

Whether this is your very first encounter with Bharatanatyam or not, we promise it will be an experience to remember. 💫

Young or old, dancer or not – everyone is welcome to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, and Tamil instruments.

Have you ever wondered what lies beneath an artists presence on stage? We carry stories...of love, frustration, joy or sorrow.

For World of Dance Los Angeles, we chose a concept that’s deeply personal to us as artists.
It’s about the emotions hidden behind every artist, the ones we don’t show on stage.

World of Dance - Los Angeles 🇺🇸
What a journey… where do we even begin?🥹

Standing on that stage, sharing our true selves and proudly honoring our roots and making our ppl proud was a lifelong dream — one that words can barely capture.

As beautiful as the day was, the real magic was in everything that led up to it: the countless rehearsals, late-night calls, planning chaos, highs and lows, tears, sweat, and unstoppable laughter.

From planning with our sister @jkredu to performing on the World of Dance stage with our girls. Friendship was the foundation of our teamwork.
Before hitting the stage, we said one thing to each other:
“We wouldn’t want to share this stage with anyone else but you.”
@jkredu @rashmii_n @archu_ @__sadaah @s.miyaa 🤍

Thank you to every soul who was part of this journey — with your craft, your talent, your financial support, your motivation, your strength, your blessings and your love.
Thank you, universe, for this opportunity.

Forever grateful. ✨

KINETIC POETRY

They didn’t just dance.
They remembered, reclaimed, and reignited.
Each gesture a thread, woven from heritage, sisterhood, and soul.

This series is more than visuals.
It’s movement as memory.
It’s the quiet power of women holding space and each other.

Grateful to witness and preserve this moment before they took the world stage.
