A night bathed in a calming pink where art became a vessel for heritage, and light a language illuminating our shared cultural legacy.

‘Passing the Light’ by @bvlgari was a celebration of India’s living cultural heritage, where the age-old artistry of terracotta and fire met the vision of contemporary artistic expression. Rooted in Bvlgari’s Roman legacy of artistry and exceptional craftsmanship, the installation brought two rich creative traditions into a compelling dialogue across time and cultures.

Set within the evocative surroundings of the Jaipur Centre for Art, the evening paid tribute to the hands that preserve ancestral knowledge and the imaginations that breathe new life into it.

More than a celebration of Diwali, it was a meditation on the beauty of what we inherit, what we create, and what we pass on … a luminous tribute to the enduring spirit of India’s artistic legacy.

An evening in Jaipur with @bvlgari to celebrate the unveiling of ‘Passing the Light’, artist Doyel Joshi’s installation for the Maison’s first ever global Diwali campaign.

Inspired by the traditional diya, the artwork brings together 4,500 hand-sculpted terracotta elements shaped like Serpenti scales. Created with the kumhar community and local craftswomen, it celebrates the skills and traditions passed from one generation to the next.

Having heard the story behind it earlier in the day, seeing the installation illuminated that evening made the experience even more special. I loved how something so familiar to Diwali had been imagined on this scale, with Indian craftsmanship at its heart.

#LuxuryJournal | The prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève awards (GPHG) opened the 2026 World Tour in India, reaffirming India as one of the key global markets for luxury watches.

👉 Hosted in partnership with Ethos Limited at The St. Regis Mumbai this week, the exhibition brought together 78 nominated watches (out of 84) competing across 14 categories, all vying for the Aiguille d’Or.

👉 The watches represented more than 50 brands showcasing contemporary watchmaking across craftsmanship, creativity and technical innovation.

👉 This year also marked another significant milestone for India, as Pranav Saboo, the Managing Director and CEO of Ethos Limited, joined the GPHG 2026 jury, comprising the global watch world's intelligentsia.

The Oscars of Watchmaking, The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), is a much-looked-forward to event for watch lovers world over. This year GPHG 2026 World Tour came to Mumbai, with Ethos Limited bringing 78 nominated timepieces from 50+ exceptional watchmaking brands. These timepieces are the best of contemporary watchmaking.

@gphg_official , often called the Oscars of watchmaking, brought its nominated watches to Mumbai with @officiallyethos . We got to see some incredible watchmaking up close, had a few favourites, and inevitably explored independents that made their way to the wish list.
——
The exhibit wasn’t only about the watches, it unfolded with getting a chance to meet @raymond_loretan , catching up with @yasho_saboo and @pranavsaboo , and spending time with friends from the watch world.
